Appeal regarding sudden account suspension (8r5s)

Hi Niantic Team,

Please review my sudden account suspension. I believe it is a false positive.

  • In-game Name: [8r5s ]

I recently nominated a spot at “Youme Town Yoshida” (ゆめタウン吉田). I visited in person, took photos myself, and placed the pin accurately. I have never used location spoofing, bots, or fake text.

Please manually check my recent nomination and restore my account. Thank you.

最近「ゆめタウン吉田」で申請を行い現地へ行き、自分で写真を撮り、正確にピンを刺しています。位置偽装や自動化、虚偽の表現は一切行っていません。手動での確認とアカウントの復帰をお願いいたします。

Hello,

If the suspension is from Wayfarer you should have received 3 emails with 1 explaining the reason.

A member of Staff will likely send you a DM and post here that they have sent it.

Many times people believe it is from Wayfarer it is actually from the Pokemon Go team, in these instances staff here can not assist and you will need to contact the Pokemon Go team direct.

Good Luck

ps. No need to add the translation in to the post, the forum has a translation function so write in whichever language you prefer.

Hi @hafs88 ,

Welcome to the Wayfarer Community Forum.

I have shared the relevant details. Please check my DM.

Regards,

I’m sure you’ve already finished your discussion with Oren, but this really caught my attention, so I wanted to let you know.
There are location errors for both the “Eat-in Space (34.668336, 132.701646)” and “Pinocky Spazio Yoshida (34.668553, 132.701863)” that you registered at “Yume Town Yoshida.”
First, please check the floor map for Yume Town Yoshida:

Based on these, I have placed markers on a Google Maps satellite view. The area enclosed by the blue marker is the “Eat-in Space,” and the area enclosed by the red marker is “Pinocky Spazio.” The blue arrow shows the approximate current location of the “Eat-in Space” Wayspot, and the red arrow shows the “Pinocky Spazio” Wayspot.
When nominating indoor locations, you should not use the measured location as-is, because the device’s GPS sensor tends to drift. It is necessary to manually adjust the pin location yourself by comparing the floor map with the satellite photo. While I don’t know the exact locations of the signs shown in the photos for these two Wayspots, they are definitely not within the correct range.
