When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:
- Wayspot Title: Andrew Johns Stand - Hunter Stadium
- Location (lat/lon): -32.9191659, 151.7270138
- City: New Lambton, NSW
- Country: Australia
- Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information):
- Additional Information (if any): POI is for the Eastern side of the stadium, which the stand has a specific name of a regional famous figure. The point has been marked as a duplicate based upon newer images for the stadium taken inside from the western stand facing across the field. The original point for the whole stadium was at the western entry ~-32.9182624, 151.7255775 and had been shifted over time.
Understandably both topics of images are now being based on the Eastern stand, I had at least tried to solely focus the point over the Andrew John’s signage to individualised the target. Both current and nominated point are also in significantly different locations. I would at least ask for the appeal to be addressed upon its merits and actual location, rather than solely looking at it as a duplicate is possible.
Your rejection email suggests it was marked as a duplicate by other reviewers. If that’s the case, you are meant to use an appeal from the nomination on your contributions tab if you feel it was an incorrect vote. If the button isn’t showing, you’ve likely used both of your appeals within the past 20 days and will need to wait until it’s been 20 days since you used one of them.
If you have already appealed this to Niantic and they’ve upheld the community decision, then you should be including a screenshot that shows you have already tried to appeal through the conventional route.

Just want to quickly add that appeals marked as duplicates by Niantic reviewers currently (erroneously) send a community rejection email like on the screenshot instead of the usual “Niantic has decided” email, so it’s possible this is what happened here. It would indeed be great to see the “appeal submitted” email to verify if this was the case.

I wasn’t aware of that, so thanks.
Wrong email communications from Niantic? Where have I heard that before?
Yep, just adding for completeness. Already caused confusion 3 times on this forum in the past few days

Was definitely appealed as prior picked up under “wayfarer criteria”
