  • Additional Information (if any):
    Dear Ingress Support Team,

I am writing to formally request the removal of a wayspot located within the premises of a detoxification center for poly-drug addicts. This location poses significant issues, as it is situated on private property with restricted access and safety concerns.

Key points regarding this wayspot:

  1. Private and Restricted Access: The wayspot is located inside a facility that is private and not intended for public access. Visitors can only reach the area via the cemetery, which itself is not open 24/7 and presents additional hazards.
  2. Safety Risks: The route through the cemetery is unsafe due to the presence of loiterers and other potential hazards. The overall restricted access makes this wayspot unsuitable for player safety and contradicts Ingress guidelines for publicly accessible areas.
  3. Incorrect In-Game Features: Additionally, according to Google Maps images, the location does not feature the “apisonadora” (known in English as “apisonador”). This discrepancy further indicates that the in-game representation does not reflect the true nature of the site.

In light of these concerns, I request that the wayspot be removed promptly to ensure the safety of players and to respect the private nature of this property. Addressing this issue will help maintain the integrity and safety standards expected within the Ingress community.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I am available for any further details or clarifications if needed.

Sincerely,

Ingress is now disconnected from Wayfarer so wouldn’t handle this.

If your report is accepted, it would only be removed from Pokémon GO.

You would need to make a new in-game report within Ingress to request it’s removal from Ingress.

but why are they signing the email as wayfarer? check email are they sending.,..

Scopely acquired Wayfarer, Pokémon Go, Monster Hunter Now, Pikmin Bloom and Campfire. They did not acquire Ingress, Peridot, or the Geospatial Browser.

So wayspots removed from wayfarer will get removed from Pokémon Go, Monster Hunter Now and Pikmin Bloom if they’re used in those games, but they won’t be removed from Ingress as that’s controlled by Niantic Spatial now.

Perhaps some thing is still in middle of transition.but anyway if you are try to remove it from ingress, u need to do so from recon not wayfarer since wayfarer and ingress have split.

This seems very strange since, as you can see, the email from May 9th comes to me from Wayfare even though the report was made directly from Ingress. I find it odd that I’m redirected here for the complaint or comment, only to then be told that it is not part of the platform

Like other said. Scopely just recently purchase wayfarer. And niantic still dont have opr for wayspot review. So that might be the reason you still got directed here.

May 9th was before the split was finalised. The final day that Ingress was still connected to Wayfarer was officially May 23rd.

I received the response on June 4 stating that any issues should be taken to the Wayfarer forum.

This is however because not everything was updated yet

Please see this comment from staff about the 2 maps.

Thanks for the appeal, @alquivir After reviewing the additional evidence provided, we’ve decided to retire the Wayspot in question.

The changes will not reflect in Ingress. Ingress Prime is no longer associated with Wayfarer. To make changes in Ingress, please reach out to Ingress support through Ingress in-game support or using the webform link provided in Niantic Spatial Support: Reporting a Wayspot — Recon Help Center
