I am unable to select a nomination for upgrade. I tried to upgrade different nominations in the last 3 days and I am always getting the E2 error (picture). Just one week ago it was working fine and now I can’t apply upgrades anymore…
Note: Automatically Apply Upgrades is DISABLED in the settings
Are you trying to use the “Upgrade” button or the “Upgrade Next” button?
I believe this error occurs when you try to use the “Upgrade NEXT” button on something that is already in voting. You should still be able to apply an “Upgrade” if you have one.
I tried to use the “Upgrade” button… Sadly it does not work
Please post a screenshot like the one I did showing that you have an upgrade available to use.
That error message shows the word “Upgrade” when an “Upgrade next” button is being pressed iirc, but I may be wrong on that. However, it does appear that you have a different issue than what E2 usually means:

(hmm. If it isn’t the “Upgrade Next” thing, what was the status of the nominations? “In Niantic voting” cannot be upgraded.)
Could you please share the list of nominations you have tried to Upgrade and could not?
I tried to upgrade about five different nominations and it did not work. The sixth one then did… now I upgraded a nomination that I did not mean to upgrade but at least that confirms that not all nominations have this issue.
You should be able to upgrade these now.
