In voting phase for months

Hi, one of my nominations has been in the voting phase for 2 months. Is there a way to get some movement?

Upgrading the nomination gives an error code back.

2 other nominations a couple 100 meters further that were requested later got approved within a day.

Hello and welcome,

Do you have any upgrades available to use? If you don’t have any upgrades to use, you cannot apply an upgrade.

Also, the other 2 Wayspots, they sound like they were approved by ML, the AI system. ML typically makes decisions within 24 hours, and the emails will note that “our team” made the decision.

E2 is the error message you get when you try to apply “Upgrade Next” to a nomination already in voting. You can still manually apply an “Upgrade” if you have one to a nomination in voting.

Edit: I can’t remember if you have to have "Automatically Apply Upgrades set to OFF to manually apply the upgrade. I have had my settings this way so long I don’t remember how it works otherwise.

Yes, I translated the error, and it’s mentioning Upgrade Next, not Upgrade. So, you seem to be clicking on the wrong button if you do have an upgrade available.

It’s indeed the upgrade next button I was trying. The regular upgrade button is inactive. So I understand I don’t have an upgrade available. Bit strange though that the next upgrade button van be clicked if I should not be clicking it.

Anyways, there’s nothing that can be done except for waiting then?

It’s not uncommon for nominations to take awhile to be decided upon by the community. There’s also no exact timeframe for a decision to be made, and Niantic doesn’t disclose how many votes are needed, either.

Depending on the number of reviewers in your review area, it could take days, weeks, months, even years at time. Hopefully it won’t take years, but it has happened before.
