My baseball weather vane submission was not accepted by ‘Niantic’s automated process for not adhering to Wayfarer criteria’. It is on top of a small storage shed near several baseball fields. It is a very unique and detailed sculpture of a pitcher. Should I resubmit this or are weather vanes not appropriate? TY
I can’t make a blanket statement about weather vanes. Some of them are mass produced items that wouldn’t be unique art, but I can’t bring up another source for this particular one with a Google Lens search. If you would like advice on whether you should pursue this with either a new nomination or an appeal of the rejection, it would help to see screenshots of the entire nomination.

So, you’re asking about categorical eligibility. That doesn’t really exist.
For every single nomination the submitter needs to explain how the item meets one of the tenets of Wayfarer criteria - a great place to:
- be social
- exercize
- explore
When reviewing, the reviewer needs to think about how the item meets one of those.
So now I ask you, how does this weather vane meet one of those tenets? Because “it exists at a ball park” is not enough for it to be approved.
