Arena in my area

Hey,
In my small village („Arloff“ in Germany) there is a remarkable Avenue of linden trees after which the street is named.
It is listed as a nature reserve since it stems from 1750.
It is Publicly available and safe. It is locally known as „Lindenallee“ and fits as an arena. Can you help to make this Happen?
Greetings.

Welcome to the forum @findus2006

This is not the correct location for your post. This section of the forum is specifically for appealing to restore wayspots that have been removed, and appealing rejected removal requests for existing wayspots. It sounds like you’re wanting to nominate a wayspot, so it might be better if this was moved to Nomination Support instead.

Additionally, reviewers and the wayfarer team don’t have any control over how a wayspot is used in Pokémon Go if it is accepted. You can’t just ask for something to become a Gym. Gyms are created when there are enough Pokéstops in a level 14 S2 cell.

Thank you very much for the reply. We have one acessible Gym in this village for me. Thats why I came here. Can anything else help to turn it into a Gym? It really is something Special and fits the criteria perfectly.

Please

  • Include the title, description, both photos, and supplemental information:

„Lindenallee“; it is a remarkable urban-Designed avenue of linden trees originating from 1753. Its importance is locally solidified since the street is named after this natural construct. It is a traditional gathering Place and bike path.

Thank you for your efforts!

This is the same topic you have already opened. A mod will be moving this.

Hi @findus2006

Hello and welcome,

Does this avenue of trees have a sign with info about it, such as the fact that the reserve has been around since 1750? Natural features typically are hard to get approved, unless there is a sign marking them as such. Many nature preserves have signs, and many use them as a place marker for them, since ML, the AI system, doesn’t really like a lot of plants in photos.

Beig you’re in a rural area, you may want to check out the tips for nominating in rural areas. I nominage in both rural and urban areas, and this list has helped me. Tips for Rural Nominators

Hey @DTrain2002, no there is no official mark execpt the sign of the streetname. But my family wanted to purchase parts of the property and it turned out building there was not permitted due to its being listed as nature reserve and in the City archives of the responsible municipality it is claimed that this avenue was build in 1753 and the current trees are from 1800 something
Thanks for the tips!

Please provide:

  • A screenshot of your nomination, including rejection reasons if it has already been rejected
  • Include the title, description, both photos, and supplemental information
  • “Allee unter den Linden” it is a urban designed natural avenue with history tracing back a few centuries. It is acessible and safe to visit and a comman bike path
  • If you feel comfortable please share the location, as it is helpful (i.e. hidden duplicates), but you can mask it if you wish.
  • Bad Münstereifel “unter den Linden” – in Germany

Im confused why it got declined and would like to change that.
    thanks for your help!

This is the third thread you have created for this photo of a road. Arena in my area contains the original thread and the second one merged into it.

This has been rejected because it looks like a road, rather than being a great place for exercise, being social or exploring.

Being able to walk somewhere does not make it a great place for exercise, because you can walk almost anywhere.

Being able to meet up with people somewhere does not make it a great place for being social, because you can be social almost anywhere.

Being able to explore an area you don’t know does not make it a great place for exploration, because you can explore almost anywhere.

okay thank you. The picture is trash but i live in NOWHERE and otherwise I cant play the game properly. I am desperate. To be fair this is a great place and many people locally meet up in spring when the trees start being green but its hard to capture in a photo. Can I upload a nomination for a red bench or a streetsign. I mean the street is named after this avenue. or a single tree thats old enough. or maybe a lake that is nearby? would a lake be accepted? Thank you for your efforts!

@salixsorbus has already answered your first question. This unfortunately does not meet criteria. For your other questions whether they are eligable, The red bench has to have a great view and be sure to emphasise this in the nomination. Street signs are not eligable because they are basic infrastructure and a lake is also not eligable. As for the tree, if it is a tree with a clear sign explaining what the tree is and its significance, it might be eligable, but if it has no sign, it will get rejected for being a natural element.

Could mods also merge this topic again with the already existing one?

I have merged the two threads together fo ease of communication.

I will also add a link to a good thread about finding wayspots in rural areas.

To be honest, using the google map location you posted earlier up this (merged) thread, you already have (based on the Ingress map for portals and Campfire for gyms) as many pokestops/gyms within 500m as I have at my home location.

You might even have more, because I can only see gyms with raids in Campfire.

That area has a decent density of existing game locations.

Based upon the photo, your nomination appears (from my point of view) to be a normal suburban avenue of no significance. The clearly visible car license plates in your main photo could be another reason your nomination was rejected.

You need to give some thought in your supporting commentary as to why your nomination meets the wayspot qualifying criteria. I would recommend that you provide some links to web articles that support your statement that this avenue is historically significant.

In addition, your main photo needs to be of a historical sign / signboard rather than a view looking down the avenue.
