Hi guys, I hope you can help me with a recent nomination that was rejected. I’m unsure of the reason why it was rejected. I don’t know if the reason why is my french translation. Could I please get some help.
Back in England this area we would call a village green, which is a communal piece of land we all chip in to maintain and use for small gatherings like picnics etc. it is the exact same here in this village I live in in France. I’ve tried to mention it has a view of 2 historical buildings as well
The “automated process” is a machine learning ai model that did not detect anything it understood to be eligible in your nomination. Fields of grass are very hard to get past it. If there is anything manmade there to frame this as a destination in a new photo, that could help. A sign would be amazing. But to my suburban American eyes, this just looks like a lawn area that belongs to the buildings, and not something distinct from it.
If you feel this is being rejected in error, you can appeal the rejection. You get 2 appeals, each on a 20 day counter before you can use it again. I am not convinced that this is a distinct spot to appeal, but get some opinions from others.
Salut! Une “zone verte” c’est très compliqué (à la fois au niveau du processus automatique qui t’a rejeté et au niveau des votants de la communauté) s’il n’y a pas d’ancre visuelle ou autre panneau. Le problème étant de pouvoir démontrer que c’est utilisé pour les rencontres etc sans que ce soit juste toi qui le dises. Si tu as des preuves des événements qui s’y organisent (des annonces postées par la ville ou quelque chose en ce genre), j’utiliserais des liens vers ces événements en information supplémentaire. Mais ça reste très complique pour prendre une photo qui serait centrée sur quelque chose.
Je crois aussi qu’il manque du texte dans ton information supplémentaire vu que la phrase s’arrête à la moitié, ce qui peut être un problème aussi - y a-t-il quelque chose de particulier que tu voulais communiquer là-dedans?
Si ton autre question était si c’est acceptable de proposer en français, oui bien sûr, c’est encouragé. La langue n’est pas la raison de ce rejet.
Or am I misunderstanding this completely and you’re an English speaker who is nominating in France and are asking if your translation was good? I don’t think “petit vert” is really a thing, but again it’s not the problem here.
