Bug Reports should include the following and any additional information you feel is necessary to aid in the investigation of the bug.
Description: I was going to nominate the main entrance sign to a local park. However, according to Pokemon Go, it already exists. It is a good spot for a POI. A main entrance for a popular community park. There is nothing else in that particular L17 S2 cell. There is no reason for it to not be there.
This makes me think that the Wayspot may be bugged in some manner. This is for the Thomas S. Stoll Memorial Park. Here are the approximate coordinates of the the POI: (38.9130781, -94.7311907)
Is there anyway to fix this, or is it broken forever?

the wayspot was submitted through the wayfarer app when it shouldn’t have been. In this case, it is added to the database, but deliberately prevented from syncing to any game.
In this case, it isn’t option 2, as it exists in Ingress as a Portal. So I’m guessing someone put in a complaint about it at some point. @NianticAaron or one of the other Niantics can usually clarify if there is a restriction on a location.
Thank you for your insight! My friends were also suggesting that someone may have submitted a complaint or perhaps a bad edit.
I do think it would be strange for someone to have asked for it to be removed, however. The park entrance isn’t anywhere close to a business or a private residence. And there is safe pedestrian sidewalk access all around the area.
Only Nitantic can share details (and sometimes only by a confirmation by not confirming).
In my local area, we had a very popular Fairgrounds that was one of the first local “great” places to drive around and play. Unfortunately, their rude behavior including, trespassing during all hours, littering, and harassing security lead to the place being shut down for PoGO.
The game and the local map has changed a lot since then and it’s sad the area is still shut down. I do wonder if there’s a expiration to these requests. But it’s also a reminder of what can happen when people are poor representatives of the phone gaming community.
I honestly couldn’t say if that was the case. I’ve only been playing pogo regularly for about a year and a half. Also, while I know the park is popular, it isn’t one I’ve frequented much. I don’t know the pogo community in that area.
Thank you @NianticAaron or who will be looking into this!
The sign is currently in the database, but it’s actually not pinned to the correct location. Once moved to the correct location, it will now be deemed to not have safe pedestrian access because it’s on an island in the middle of the entrance roadway.
I think either way you’re gonna need to give up on the sign and look for another eligible point of interest in the park.
