Even if they were on a flat, I donāt see bird houses abide any of the wayfarer criteria.
It is not a GREAT location:
- to exercise
- be social at
- or explore
Indeed you sometimes see them as accepted wayspots, unfortunately that is not a reflection of criteria.
Agree, however though I donāt see it will meet criteria to accept, but it is also no clear rejection. For me it is the same with bug hotels, neighbourhood signs, painted utility boxes etc. I usually do not approve those, but many people do.
Bug hotels are tricky, Sometimes OK, sometimes not. Depends where they are (SFPRP?), whether they are permanent, installed by an organisation etc.
Neighbourhood signs are generally trash. Some might be interesting but most arenāt. Comparable with village/town entrance signs in the UK
Painted utility boxes are amazing. The murals are normally encouraged by the utility company and do a lot to brighten up a drab neighbourhood. Some have been painted around here specifically to do that, which makes them highly eligible.
Bird boxes, bat boxes etc; meh.
My two cents ![]()
I typically reject birdhouses as sensitive locations because if people congregate around the bird house, then the birds will leave. The game isnāt worth disrupting wildlife in their home.
Hi player, to answer your question, which Iāve also been asked, it depends on Nianticās terms and conditions. In short, the PokĆ©Stop must be accessible to the public, meaning it must be a public area and contain something historical or representative of the location, be it a statue, a mural, or something else. Anything that doesnāt meet the above will be rejected. I hope this helps. Best regards, AlonsusZ.
This is not exactly accurate. A place with restricted access can still be eligible if folks allowed to be there can safely access it.

Ok, Thanks.![]()
