Can I ask why my Beach Sportpark don’t get approval?

Good day,

There is no explanation but “Not Approved”. I can’t even appeal. Why is that? I read all criteria and for me it’s a Wayspot.

It got disapproved for the second time.

Edit: the description is because first disapproval was because it said “location not accurate”

You can literally see the flat Court area on Satellite Map.

If you refresh (log out and in maybe), whats the rejection reason on it?

I don’t agree with both. It is a public park and very accessible. There are no body parts on Wayfare Spot Icon Picture.

Hard to tell from the screenshot, but those people in the background seem to be identifiable.

You get two appeals, each on a 15 day timer before you can use it again. When you have an appeal available, the option will show again.

I usually try a new nomination before I submit an appeal since I have more nominations than appeals. Try to get a photo with no people in it. You can take the main photo pointing your camera up at the goal, then show the court in your supporting photo. People can be in that photo as long as it doesn’t look like they are posing there for you to identify your nomination.

A lot of reviewer will feel uncomfortable with approving nomination with people inside. A lot will reject. I know its hard to get photo clear with people but its in your best interest to do so. You can try appeal if it kept getting rejection because of face

Most of my basketball court photos have been a close up of the hoop and backboard, then standing back to get a fuller picture for the supplementary. The closeup of the hoop helps keep people out of the picture. You don’t need the picture to be of the whole court.

For example:

The people in the background of supplementary don’t matter

And the focus on the post in the main shows clearly what it is.

Magic Eraser or some similar tool is definitely useful here, if you have it. Take the photo on the camera app, edit it and then submit it as an existing photo. Alternatively (and more easily) crop the photo to remove the people.

Be cautious with using AI tools to touch up though, you don’t want to present the wayspot as something it isn’t.

I have moved this to nomination support as it seems more appropriate.

@Fipz i hope you can grab some pictures just of one of the basket ball stands.

It is fully visible on street view so location really should not be an issue.

I would recommend The supplementary From about halfway looking back to the buildings ( opposite of what you had) as it gives more points of reference for locating it. The a close up of the stand showing the hoop and backboard clearly …..move around and different angles so that it shows up against the background.

The actual description can be simple your title is good and accurate.

The supplementary text should focus on it encouraging exercise and socialisation. And point the reviewers to streetview and how they can confirm. :crossed_fingers: :crossed_fingers:
