Mine sent me death threats many years ago for naming a gym the actual title of the thing so nothing would surprise me now.
The leader round here once stayed up after bedtime and saw an episode of Peaky Blinders…
I ain’t coping with that
Is “to provide more frequent updates (similar to Pokéstop/Gyms)” still a plan?
In the last 6 months it seem there was only two power spots map update, early April and May.
A lot has happened since this with Scopely now buying Pokémon GO and Wayfarer.
So it may no longer be on the plan, but who knows.
The new option in Pokémon GO for adding a supporting photo is making these removals a lot easier.
It does feel a little weird taking a photo of someone’s house or a derelict area of nothing where the Power Spot is claimed to be though.
Been adding a bunch of wayspots to a trail knowing they’re too close to become stops/gyms hoping to add potential power spot spawn points as it’s barren.
Is there any further clarity on what the inclusion rules are for wayfarer-submitted power spots?
It appears they need to be 22m from the nearest pokestop/gym/powerspot, but this is no guarantee they will appear. The timing of when new powerspots appear in Pokemon Go is unknown and there was a 2 month gap before the most recent sync, so maybe there will be another one within the next 2 months.
I’ve always been a big supporter of not adding photos or descriptions to imported Power Spots, to help differentiate these from actual Wayspots, to help lessen any confusion to Wayfarers.
However with the India and Indonesia ones being converted and then saying about submitting photos and edits, I wonder if I should be trying to “tidy up” the existing imported Power Spots in my location and other places I visit in case the same thing happens again?
I’m always reporting things that are at SFPRP or schools etc. and 95% of the time they get removed without additional follow up needed.
I’m not sure, is anyone else editing Power Spots with new photos etc.? I’m a little bit in the mind of “well, this is what the Pokémon GO team want on their map, may as well make it look the best it can”.
That’s where I am with it too. I have stopped reporting SFPRP too, if it was a problem for the Pokémon Go team, they’d have removed them all by now or at least requested our help. But there’s been silence so I can only assume that the Pokémon Go team (and Wayfarer to an extent) have accepted the risks involved with having groups of 100 players descend on someone’s house to battle an Eternatus. So maybe these houses deserve pictures and nice descriptions too
My usual Max Monday route includes several SFPRP “Home Business” spots.
I decided to start with 2 that where right in the middle of a new build housing estate. 100% SFPRP, no through route, lots of cul-de-sacs with no pavement.
Reported both and got replies. 1 accepted, 1 rejected!!!
When I report a SFPRP Power Spot, I’ll attach a link of a Zoopla listing, as it would have sold at some point. Maybe try that?
Excellent idea.
It was the inconsistency that threw me. Admittedly I did not include any evidence as I deemed it to be obvious. Both just stated “SFPRP”. They where literally round the corner from each other but they got the opposite result.
