You can add photos by doing so in the Power Spot Menu.
But the Photos won’t show on Pokémon GO, besides when looking at the duplicates map. If it’s a Power Spot, it’s staying a Power Spot as far as I know
I’m really hoping that the Ingress team can remove them from their nomination map as duplicates.

Well after separation, ingress wont have anything to do with power spot right?
they were wanting to submit them as full-fledged wayspots if i understood correctly
Locally the majority of these are businesses that have the home address as there registered business address.
Not right to take a pictureof someones home.
On these occasions I thing a Logo image from the companies website would be the ideal but obviously against TOS…
I dont even bother giving picture to power spot.
They didn’t have anyways but they still appeared on the Ingress duplicate map during nominations for some reason

I believe I saw where someone tried that, but it was rejected.
I also agree with @cyndiepooh that it’s a bad idea and of no value to add photos to Power Spots.

If they are on SFPRP, report them for removal.
I think I’m at 50 Power Spots like that removed now.

Oof and I have seen a lot of edits come through during the challenge trying to “correct” these with new titles.
Just wondering when you remove powerspot, will pogo import new power spot?
I have no idea if they will add another one. But that’s not my concern. 
I’m just reporting things that shouldn’t be on the map.

It was only something I considered since I wasn’t sure what the procedure was for when they happened to be good enough to be a proper waypoint. Otherwise, I think of them as being somewhat interchangeable slop which I wouldn’t bother with. It’s not very nice but they tend to be extremely uninteresting.
Fortunately most of the ones locally here (post my reports) are Ingress Portals that I nominated which never appeared in Pokémon GO due to the inclusion rules so ours at least have a little more “flair” and grounding in the real world
Never considered that spots should be dealt with with the same criteria as stops / gyms.
Quick check on campfire and I estimate about 75% of the local spots would need to go and as they are in a residential area I can’t see them being replaced by anything better.
Would definately make Max Mondays much harder 
Personally i dont bother to remove them either. Definitely make max monday or even max particle collection harder.
They can be reported for the same things as Wayspots.
It sounds harsh but it’s not my concern either if it makes the events more difficult. That was on the Pokémon GO team to consider and properly filter the things they imported.

most of the ones near me are ingress portals, too. i reported the ones on SFPRP as well as a duplicate - i guess two labels from two different databases? i did leave one that seems to be doing no harm where it is because “SugarKane Sugaring Spa-Manscaping, Brazilians & Keratin Lash Lifts” being run out of “Extra Space Storage” amuses me.
And I don’t want to try to go in and see if it is actually there.

Not going against what you say, it was just that I had never considered it.
Instant thought was that locally this would be a massive change.
Maybe I would remove a couple and see what the outcome was with Niantic replacing them, otherwise I may have to go in to hideing from the local PoGo Mafia
