I’ve reviewed a total of 4 things now over the course of a week. Trying my best on each one.
This alert really confuses me.

Hello,
Cooldowns can happen, and they tend to be based on how well your rating is. The lower your rating, the more likely you are to get a cooldown.
There are also other things that can be detected by the system, such as skipping too many submissions, reviewing too fast, not using all of the tools available when reviewing, etc, that can trigger a cooldown.
The cooldown could have been based on a previous session. Since I wear progressive lens and have to go slow because I have to make everything bigger, I don’t get them. Really take your time and don’t be afraid to use IDK. This will help you avoid falling into patterns.
The only thing I disagree with in the last comment is that it could be skipping a too much. I skip often, and still have never had a cooldown.
I’ve never skipped any haha. I’ve only just joined the program last week. That’s why I’m surprised by this.
Doing what I perceive as nothing wrong and getting a cool down from it makes me not want to take a risk reviewing anything at all.
so you only have four total reviews? then the cooldown is odd.
they aren’t anything to worry about though. it isn’t a ban or anything. just meant to make you slow down.
Ok, this does seem odd. 4 total reviews, a good rating, and a 24 hour cooldown? That is a bit puzzling.
I’d bet they are still tripping over the counting of edit reviews. If those are counted only sometimes, they will screw up the metrics…
Total reviewed includes all reviews done, including edits. The OP hasn’t said if they have received any agreements.
When I joined the program at 0 I wasn’t sure what I was doing when the numbers started to move up before I started snooping around all the menus and tools.
So it does take a while to establish a few things but I went from 0 to 3 in a matter of seconds and I was like “WTH Did I just do” sadly we don’t have a history archive of everything we have looked at and/or reviewed on which I think would be a good idea especially if we want to discuss things on here, but it’s a case of take a screenshot at the time and do your best.
Now when I started @DTrain2002 I went straight in at “good” and I think that’s wrong, initially it should put a user at “poor” to entice them to review and move up the levels 1-4 and this will build a picture of the new wayfarer users “quality” so once I got to grips with things and all the tools installed that I needed (I’m sure there will be more) away I went…personally maybe allow 1-5 reviews for a new user then put them in cooldown for 24 hours and if they can handle it and come back to the system after 24 hours then I would call that “dedication” theres a lot we can do with the forum badges on here to reflect this.
also if there’s someone willing to work with the community from niantic on creating “unique” forum badges then maybe its something for the Ambassadors/Leaders to look at in there secret chat channel.
I just need to remember not to insult Emily even once in the comments as that drops your rating instantly .
I think you are joking here, but I do know of a report by someone I don’t think would have made it up of getting a ban for insulting Niantic staff in the comments under the old review flow. I don’t see a need to use insults at any time, in any text.
Nope not a joke…I actually insulted Emily on an Additional Comment and I dropped from “Great” to “Good” almost instantly and it took over a week to recover and I know which review type it was over.
If there was a badge for me currently it would be “most rejected” as I seem to get all the bad stuff around the UK and this rating is the highest, but rarely anything near my home location or bonus locations.
It does take a while for the system to catch-up though so i review a bunch then go out and play a bit and get some daily insight then I come back and have another session later in the day/night.
Funny thing is it took me weeks to understand the system and to get to 100% and this time round I’ve sped round like a speedometer and my pedal to the ground and I’m nearly at 200% and due my second upgrade in less than a week so I have to keep telling myself that I must be doing good otherwise I’d be dropping rating levels, getting cooldowns, etc…
Id be banned and kicked out of the ambo program by now
Ok well… now thats something different… yikes
Hence why I use ML, not the name given to ML by some. I’ve had an ambo question me as of late why I would say not to use it. Said we never came to a conclusion about not using it, but come on…One of the nicest people in my life is named Karen!
Anyways, @wolfe9 I do hope you’re able to start reviewing again soon.
Oh well done @Glawhantojar I love that gif response
There’s always a “Karen” some where in the world from Will & Grace in the USA to Karen Gillan in Doctor Who in the UK.
And yes I got the reference.

I think that starting at poor is a bit discouraging. It also doesn’t allow for any “feedback” if you start at poor and are not doing it correctly you stay at poor ……you are none the wiser. If you start at good and drop a level you notice. That is a clue to reflect and change.
All valid points @elijustrying but if you think of it like a brand new game…you don’t go straight into great league or League 15 straight out of training, you start at level 0 and work your way up to things that get a bit tougher and may require a different look at things.
Heck we didn’t automatically get the ability for wayfarer straight away now did we,we had to work hard for it.
Unless your a game hacker and unlock legendary level straight away and all the latest characters in league 0,oh wait wrong job
