Could someone explain why people don't think this is distinct?

Please provide:

University of Dallas Directional Sign

I am not sure why people think it isn’t permanent or distinct. UD is a small campus so these signs aren’t everywhere, and this is one by a specific entrance. It is absolutely permanent too. So I’m not sure why people put that as a rejection criteria.

Directional signs are given as an example in the Rejection Criteria - Niantic Wayfarer

Now, I’ve seen plenty of directional sign wayspots… but that doesn’t mean they should be there.

Hi
It is also in the criteria clarification that directional signs are not normally acceptable

We have been given the example of a lamp post as something that should be rejected as “Distinct” - so something that just isn’t significant in its surroundings.
