Discussion about standard responses

@elijustrying

Sorry, probably going to ruin your work splitting the thread.

Do you want me to post in “Forum Suggestions”? (don’t think I have ever been in there  )

All done discuss away

Just to add a couple of extra thoughts…

  • Is there enough “Standard Responses” to warrant its own category?
  • Would expect that these would all be locked as not expecting to be a discussion. Suggestions for alterations would be posted elsewhere “Keep the section clean”.
  • Process for getting the responses in there?

I now “Open the floor for discussion”

  • how about “Frequently Asked Questions” instead of “Standard Responses”?
  • should these new posts be pinned? Like, why the old “where is my pokestop” post is pinned, and the new more detailed “where is my pokestop” post is not? And perhaps =one pinned post to point new visitors to the FAQ location.

Hello,

My eyes let me down when searching for @cyndiepooh ‘s “Wheres my Stop” response.

It seems it is locked but not pinned. Any chance it could be pinned?

Thanks

I thought people would just bookmark for themselves.

I have pinned now but I think there are quite a few pinned in that category.

I don’t know if it is a specific setting but reading a pinned post can unpin it for that user. So check your settings :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Unless I don’t know what I am doing

This is what I did, bookmarked it.

For anymore wondering how to bookmark a post, you may have to click on the 3 dots between Copy Link and Reply. This will then bring that option up:

You can also bookmark an entire thread, which is typically at the bottom of the last post:

I bookmarked my own post with the links for reporting for Ingress, so if there are anyone that needs to be directed to one of those or I need to use one of them, I then can go straight to it in my profile drop down menu.

Lastly, I feel weird whenever I get quoted in a Wayspot Appeals post where I helped to find the lat/long cords, and that’s what staff quote. I have no idea if the OP is getting the message, and I really don’t need the credit for helping out someone. Helping out is nice enough; recoronation is also not easy for me, being an ND person.
