They probably aren’t in a queue. It’s like an audit confirming Niantic has a record of you submitting this edit regardless of the waypoint deleted.

Well it’s in my queue, making my queue longer lol. Probably preventing others entering voting because they haven’t been voted on. :joy:

It’s true that the AI, like Niantic itself, is lagging behind on non-English languages. I have submitted description edits in English for blank descriptions, and the blank one is still chosen… So maybe the AI is not so discriminatory.

September 9th, 2022 is my oldest. I have two edits from that date, one of which I had totally forgotten I’d submitted.

It makes me miss the days when edits and nominations took the same amount of time around here. It used to take roughly 4 weeks to get a decision on a nomination or edit that was being reviewed by the Community. Now I can get a Community decision on nominations in 3 days, but edits are taking well over a year. I’m not a fan of that trade off.

I thought the Romans were in Britain a lot longer ago than that!

After having time to look through all my unresolved edits from the last 4 years, I can say I would withdraw atleast half of them now if I could

Edit upgrades do not appear to be working. I used three upgrades last night (between 14 and 16 hours ago) on edits that were “in voting” and have had no decisions. Upgraded nominations here normally get a decision in 2-4 hours.

Lucky you! My upgrades take a week or more, sometimes longer than community decisions! Maybe it’s just a bit busy with edit upgrades now since everyone can see them for the first time!

are you applying your upgrade as soon as you make the nomination? there is a grace period which varies before a nomination will go into voting, even with an upgrade. i was referring to ones that were already in voting, so definitely out of the grace period.

It could be that, yeah

@NianticAaron This deserves your attention. I also have 2 older edits still in queue after 16 hours being upgraded.

I think what might be happening is the systems been flooded with edits being upgraded, everything is going to move a little slower until it all balances itself out.

We should all do some extra reviews over the next week to balance out the flood of upgraded edits that have likely been created in the last 24 hours lol

Or you all have to do nothing and lean back a while :sunglasses:
Today I got four edits accepted (by the community) whitout doing anything

Mine has been upgraded for 16ish hours now and not even gone into voting.

for what it’s worth, i’ve done almost 200 reviews today and none were edits outside my normal edit ranges. if upgrades were working properly i’d expect to see at least a few reviews of edits somewhere unexpected.

Congrats to you on not needing to use upgrades on your edits. I did get one decision today that was not upgraded:

And I have appealed this rejection to help chat and had the correct title accepted already today, too. But sitting back and waiting has not been working, as you can see from the date.

Like tehstone, I did not see any edit reviews from outside my normal review range today, which indicates that upgrades for edits probably are not working right now.

The last weeks nothing happend with my edits and today four in a row
So I thought that they reduce the queue, while this migration process :woman_shrugging:t2:
Perhaps Emily get a last chance?

What about with appeals, that should you be successful you don’t lose the appeal token? Much like cricket.

Sometimes the voters do get it horribly wrong.

Let us withdraw edits that are in queue or voting. It would help decrease the massive backlog.

omg!!!
So Emily can’t understand a sentence of more than 3 words in all languages and yet she is doing edit reviews with it.
And in some cases, it is amazing that she can’t understand the correct edit report and automatically bans wayfinder.
(There are currently cases posted on social networking sites where repeated edit reports result in a 30 day ban.)
