This are the cordenates im pretty sure there were 4 or 5 pokestops all inside the park

It would be helpful if you share the location. Only staff can tell if its removed because property owner

If you share the location we can take a look and give comment.

Since I became an ambassador is got in touch with the management group of the park and they have my personal information incase something happens so I know it wasn’t the park that reported it and it’s weird because it was in a perfect location for it .. the park is big so there’s wasn’t a reason to remove all of them at once :thinking:

Whatever the outcome may be, OP you should look into campsites since you’re a community ambassador now. It’s a way to circumvent these wayfarer shenanigans.

I already summit the application for that too but campsites won’t go live anytime soon seems like can take a while for that to be implemented :sob:

If you are onsite, you can check submission page.

If its reported for removal because wayspot is gone, nothing will show up. But if its reported for removal by property owner in pogo, it will still appear but shown as used in other niantic games.

I see that an appeal has been submitted here:

Staff will take a look into this and will let you know what is going on.

Will they private message me or how can I follow the prosess?? This is my first time summiting an appeal and I really would love to get it fixed specially since we have the go fest finale coming up this month and this will really impacts the game play for my group that im trying to build as an ambassador :sob:

They typically just reply to the appeal that you has posted.

Keep in mind that Wayfarer is simply the database map that all games use for game play locations, but each game has their own inclusion rules. PoGo uses S2 cells, with 1 Wayspot allowed per L17 S2 cell. More info about this can be found here: https://pokemongohub.net/post/featured/comprehensive-guide-s2-cells-pokemon-go/

Yeah I know that but since they were in the game for a long time I dont see why take them away now .. and since we as community ambassadors we pick the park for the meet ups according to the amount of poke stops and gyms in the location to help the comunity to play the game properly.

Criteria changes from time to time, so what may have once been eligible may become ineligible in the future.

Many Wayfinders were unhappy with how many areas were getting flooded with memorial benches/trees that were not for a noteworthy person, just someone’s family member or a close friend, and wanted clarification on these. Some also found having Wayspots at these POIs may be disrespectful to the person, espeically if they had pass away. Staff provided clarification in May 2024 for memorial benches, which also applies to memorial trees, that they are ineligible, unless they are for a noteworthy person from the community, and this context is provided.

Ok so nothing can be done?

Being these are memorial trees, the Wayspot may not be restored. Staff do monitor the forums, and they may reply to your appeal letting you know whether or not they can be restored.

Unless you were the one that submitted those memorial trees, you don’t know any of the context added by the submitter. They in fact could be noteworthy people of your community. Anyways, mass removal of stops is usually because a property owner requested it. I doubt someone just started reporting memorial trees.

Around 4 or 5 pokestops disappeared and it’s concerning since I use this park for my community ambassador meet ups and the comunity is sad to see so many pokestops gone  here are the cordenates of the location 41.873731.-71.342553 if anyone can help with this would really appreciate it

Hello,

Do you remember the names of the Wayspots that have been removed, or have all of the Wayspots been removed from this park? This does appear to be a quite large park, so it would be helpful to know which Wayspots have been removed.

I dont remember the name of them i just noticed all where in the same area but not in like a main road or on a dangerous spot.. that area is mostly grass with walking paths

Were they for memorial trees, by any chance? I’m looking at the lat/long you provided, and I do see some memorial tree portals in this area still in Ingress. Memorial trees are typically considered ineligible, unless the person who they are memorializing is of some historical/cultural value to the community.
