Actually I had to once say that the school no longer existed as it used to say school on the map. I had to edit the map as the school was closed but the garden was left which I did a photo off
Are there any other submissions you’d like advice on aside from the Flowers Mural? You could share them here if you want
So it wasn’t a School…
This does not change the fact that the Categories are not a list of acceptable waypoints…
Thats because they are going out of their way to help you… in the review process, the burden of proof lies on the submitter. Its easier for you to provide all the relevant information than to have every individual reviewer go out of their way to do so.
I think it used to be a long time ago. But it moved to bigger site. But the map wasn’t changed until I inquired about it
Yes but I wasn’t lying. All my submissions are the truth
Its not about lying or truth… its about thorough proof. You need to make it as easy as possible clearing all doubts.
I was trying to make it as easy as possible. But it’s not on street view dtrain Found it tho
A not helpful at all supporting photo is not as easy as possible. Reviewers arent tasked with going out of their way to look for it.
Well as I’ve said. The area has changed a bit. No bin by the shop. But the mural is still there
Resubmit with a better supporting photo and add the link that dtrain found in the supporting information.
I found it after you provided the photo of the mural, and doing a Google Lens search. That search brought up an article about the artist, with a couple photos of them and the mural. I found their artist name, Tee2Sugars, looked them up and found their website, and based off of the location pin in your nomination, was able to find where the mural is. I would not have been able to find it with your supporting photo though.
However, not all reviewers are this in-depth. They usually only check satellite/Street View and don’t always do a web search of the image, unless is seems like it’s a 3rd party image or AI generated. Most would see that they can’t find the mural at the location, and reject for inaccurate location, as you didn’t prove that the mural exists at the pin. I most likely would have done the same, unless you have provided the link to the artist’s website showing the mural, which is more proof that it exisits where you say it does.
As for the categories, the list was not created by Wayfarer, and comes from a 3rd party source. It does have many ineligible locations listed, such as liquor stores and elementary schools, so they shouldn’t be used to see if something meets Wayspot Criteria.
Again, take this as a lesson on how to improve on your nominations. We have all made mistakes when we started, and many of us have asked for help, or searched for answers here in the forums. We’re a community that’s here to help.
I have been doing nominations for a year so it’s just one of many I have submitted and just this one didn’t do through
Seems like we are going in circles, multiple people, including ambassadors, have given you the same advice in different ways and you seem reluctant to take it. At this point we don’t seem to be getting anywhere. Please take some time to reflect on the information provided to you.
Ok thanks
