I can open Scaniverse and do scans/splats in that and activate things for VPS, but canât do Wayfarer submissions or edits etc. in it.
Does the Wayfarer app still work? Just because it is still installed does not mean it functions.
Oh, good point. thinks of Harry Potter: Wizards Unite and Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow still being on my phone

I stopped reviewing until this challenge is over. Most of the edits I get are just to get the numbers. Both are possible. Guess work what to chose.
Will be horrible for the ratings bcz its just a 50:50 chance. Hope everyone who is submitting those edits is also reviewing all of them
i stopped reviewing because i want ML to pick them up, not the community.

Until you posted that screenshot, I hadnât noticed that the current Ingress icon was a playing card. It is small enough on my phone I though it was pinwheel streamers or something!
Good luck with that. Most of my edits have been sent to the community, even some of my photos.

Iâve noticed for photos, the ML prefers very similar pictures to whatâs already there
For example I submitted 2 updated pictures for a post office. Both went into community review/remained in queue presumably because the original image was the whole shop front, and my 2 new ones focussed on 2 different signs (both said post office on them)
Similarly with a pub, I added an updated but similar picture to the current one and ML took that. But when I also added a sign board and a view of the fireplace inside those went to the community/queue
Plus the lack of reviewers right nowâŚ

Or that all the reviewers are dropping rating so their reviews dont count as much for a decision

i have already gotten back one (rejected) location edit and two each photo and description edits from the community(accepted) though. i thought it was more than that but thatâs all that come up when i search on âcommunity has decidedâ
have 4 text and 12 photos in voting.

One of the photos that ML hasnât accepted is of the storeâs sign next to the sidewalk. The current photo is of the awning with the storeâs name on it. The other is a wider view of the picnic area at a business park, not just the landscaping.
I think reviewing has had issues since the rating issue earlier this year, as well as ML accepting so much. Most of what there is to review also tends to be a little harder to review, except for the 3 generic businesses I just had (Subway in Clarksville, TN was one rolls eyes).

ML has been taken hostage. You wonât see it again until after the event has completed.

You can use âNone of the aboveâ to say âI donât knowâ. Itâll be a vote for keeping the original.
The way Machine Learning works is: you give 80% of the cases to its AI, and do 20% manually. The manual ones are fed into the ML so it can L. (Percents can vary based on practicality, but 80/20 is what Google recommends to its AI developers.)
So, counter-intuitively, if we donât review, theyâll probably just hold those edits (and the Machine wonât Learn) until we do. Niantic probably doesnât care if an edit takes weeks or months. Except that they have manpower allocated now for this task.
