Gym wrongfully removed

Hi,

this morning I discovered that a gym has disappeared from Pokemon Go, even though it still exists. It is a public park, I do not see any reason why it should be removed. Please reinstall, thanks.

Hello @bimofinn! Welcome to the forum. I am trying to understand from translation that the gym was a park, correct? Your supporting photo shows a dog clean up station. I just want to clarify the wayspot was a park? I am not seeing a park welcome sign in the photo, so I am wondering if a park sign was removed?

Yes, the gym was a park. Sorry for the confusion, I will update more photos here.

First photo is the gym location on the Google map, which shows “Tainhe No. 1 Park” in English and Mandarin.

Second photo is a sign in the park entrance says “Weclome to Tainhe No. 1 Park” in Mandarin.

Please help restore the gym in Pokemon Go. Thank you so much.

The location you have given is in an occupied cell and the L14 cell has 3 gyms already, so it is very unlikely a gym could be reinstated here. At the southeast entrance of the park there are several noticeboards - the one in the background to the left of blue pole would be in an empty cell so should give you a new pokestop.

Thanks for the appeal, @bimofinn! We have taken another look but stand by our decision to retire this Wayspot.

I don’t live in Taiwan, just commenting as a passerby.

I see where he is coming from, but being bad at providing precise detail of the location does not mean his point is invalid.

If I can see 3 gyms of close proximity to the north of the target location and his park is about 500m slightly south east to the blue gym and about 300m from the bottom yellow gym, it kinds of prove a point that there used to be a gym in Tianhe No.1 park.

I mean this is a fun game, it brings joy to many and maybe many others like to chill and pogo in that park… Just reinstate it will you? If it means alot to him, just make him happy and not quit the game?

I would believe the stone statue and the park is still present so I’m not sure which nutcase will report it as obsolete or whatsoever reason.
