YouTube sends people to PokeDaxi if they ask how to nominate a PokeStop. I have even had local players tell me to check him out I tried to grab some of that audience but it didn’t work. I’m Copper Valor on YouTube and I play cozy switch games and Pokemon Unite.
@NianticTintino Now that this poll had 98 votes, is there anything of importance that you can add to this conversation?
I still think that Niantics overall approach is wrong on many levels.
I don’t want to spend literally minutes clicking all sorts of things and look at photos.
You either like something as a wayspot or you dislike it. They can send out their minions to categorize the stuff later, i don’t see any point in doing this for Nia.
Nias database is literally ONLY used for one thing that gets them money: Pgo.
By ignoring this they made their system on a wrong premise.
It is like going to McDonald’s and asking for a Whopper
It is one of those tricky balances. There are plenty of nominations where it is very questionable if they should be accepted or rejected, and does require amount time & effort to review.
I will admit that I probably do not research nominations as thoroughly as other people do. I probably end up accepting some nominations that I should have rejected or vice versa. It is not realistic for us to spend a large amount of time researching everything on a nomination to determine if everything is legit or not. Sometimes you just need to make your best judgment and move on.
I find the jumping around hard … If I could just do a string of gazebos… Or if I could just do one suburb/ town.
So many times you see other objects on the sat view or in the surrounding pic … Have they been submitted. Yes I see them … I want to say yes to all of them while I’m looking at this map. I don’t want to be flung across the country back and forth … Australia is a big place after all
It does get bothersome and times, and specially cause the nominations I have been receiving lately are either just terrible, or really weird for me to find a way to either accept them or deny them. Wayfarer challenges did reignited my interest on reviewing but sometimes I get so caught up on life that I totally neglect properly participating in them.
Not part of the conversation and probably mentioned by many in here but a rewards/completion/progress system needs to be implemented in the long run for this community to keep growing.
I partially agree to your point of view. But what Emily doing great is it make me not required to appeal every single nomination to make them accepted. In my area, without ML, we can only get 2 accepted wayspot for 20 days due to the appeals rule.
So i reckon we may need other forms of incentive just to make us review more.
