Hello, i was told to ask here about getting new pokestops and gyms in town. Was currently informed that people like to go around and pick out spots that could make good potentional spots in the town of Gregory SD. If you see any potentional Gyms or Pokestops in town people let me know, and i can try to get out there and get pictures.
Yes those are still there.. i have the church already in nomination and i have a bunch at the park as well.. so far there been in voting for quite some time.
I mentioned “St John’s Lutheran Church” in your previous post. There does seem like there is a “import” here so nominating to get a Stop or Gym might remove a possible “Powerspot”.
“Gregory Lanes” (Bowling Alley) is another that should be an easy stop / gym but could remove a powerspot.
“Essential Balance Day Spa”
How long have things been in voting? I’ve been gathering evidence from rural areas showing that something is wrong and voting suddenly got much slower in late January or early February. Mine went from resolving in under a week to taking more than 2 months.
Its been probably about a month.
This Gregory sign.
Sissy’s Cafe
You might be able to make a case for what looks like some historic architecture on this building.
Gregory Bakery & Deli
Is there a mural hiding back there?
There appears to be some painted artwork on this sidewalk.
I’m not sure what this is, but I liked the sign.
There’s no street view for this, but it looks like there’s a Gregory Golf Course at 288th St?
Thank you there was a few spots there i never thought about.. appreciate it
The homesteader restaurant could have 3 maybe 4 pokestops.
One for the restaurant at the sign. Talk about thier best dishes and any local awards they’ve won. Generally places like this are great for local socializing. Next, the playground in the parking area. Pin the waypoint on the south end of the play area to get a pokestop. There is a mural /painting on the side of the building that could be submitted and if there is any cool art inside, particularly near the back half of the building then you could get a fourth.
The Gregory auditorium could have 1 more and maybe a powerspot. The Amphitheater itself is eligible as a place to socialize and a hub of local culture. Submit the name sign with the point pinned to the entrance if there is also art or memorial plaques inside. If not then pin to the center of the building in the free cell.
Next door is the American legion clubhouse which is eligible as a social club. It can have 2 waypoints. One at the mural on the front wall and one for the club if it is pinned to the middle of the building.
The bowling alley could also have 2. Eligible under exercise as a place to play games. One at the entrance sign and another in the west part of the building if there is art, club awards, or plaque inside. It’ll replace the powerspot currently there but you can get another powerspot elsewhere.
Downtown, dayspring coffee has a mural that could be a powerspot and the sissy’s café has already been mentioned. The little theater down the way could be a pokestop. There is a bench outside the thrift store that is very artistic and could be a powerstop. The deli is the best pokestop on the next block but there is something by the bank and the daisies on the sign for the boutique that both have potential as a powerspot.
Mary Bob’s bar could be eligible as a place to socialize as long as people under 18 are allowed inside part of the time. Especially if they host trivia or have game tables. O don’t know what’s going on with the rosebud plaza but it’s listed as an event space so worth learning more about.
The Methodist church has a lot of potential. Its on the crossroads of four pokestop cells. Particularly if someone installs a sculture or little free library along the sidewalk.
Look inside the medical clinic for any art.
Any murals or plaques in the grocery store?
Things at the hospital are eligible as long as they are not near and don’t interfere with emergency services and the emergency room. Check for art, tranquility gardens, and a chapel.
What’s going on with taggart antiques? Looks like lots of art and things but look for something that is permenant. Just the store front looks cool and might be artistic enough. It can have something on the west and the east half of the building.
On the north side of town it looks like there is a volleyball court behind Berean church that could be a powerspot. The silver threads facility has an artistic bench out front, a pergola out back, and the community garden behind it that has a picnic area.
The park is really well set up for lots of pokestop opportunities if things are placed well.
