There is more potential near the church.
This lychgate can be nominated in its own right…..dig up a bit of the history of it.
This distinctive sculpture is also in a separate cell
Is there a church hall at the back or is there stained glass or a bell tower at the rear of the church that’s another cell.

Okay so I then can nominate them to be pokestops ?

Ah I see there is a school at the rear of the church.
But you have some great Public rights of way - PROW
These should have official markers and the path can be a great place to exercise/ explore - you can ask here about writing it up.
Okay so I can use the footpath signs as markers for pokestops ? And does the fact that there is a school there stop you from being able to put pokestops there ? As there is a hall at the back of the church with stainglass windows.
Yes these can all be nominated to be pokestops. They needs nice write ups for description so may need a little research.
It looks like there is a play area in the beer garden of the Kings Arms that can be nominated too.
Okay. Will do some research and nominate them , Thankyou very much
Take photos and as long as it’s not part of the school it should be ok.
I’m going to move this to nomination support so we can give better support.
Will I still be able to reply on here or is it somewhere else ?
Just reply to these it will now appear with the title Otterton in the nomination support category

Sorry last thing I promise
when you say research you mean stuff like , when it was built and who built it and that sort of stuff ?

Yep that sort of stuff.
The church is grade II* listed
https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1281083?section=official-list-entry
The tower is a distinct part of the listing as it dates to the 11th century and was part of a priory so that might be a strong option.
The lychgate isn’t listed and will probably be several centuries old some text about what a lychgate is, can be part of the description.
The listing shows that there are several points of interest in the graveyard
The ones to the east may be in a different cell I haven’t checked.
Use the new web submission method for the footpaths in particular as you can attach up to 5 images. I include a screenshot from the rowmaps website to show the the details of the path
This example shows the footpath number Otterton 9 and where it goes. I have added circles to show the exact junction.

Hi all , just a quick question , I contacted Niantic that the pokestop I moved was in the wrong location , they then removed it and it hasn’t reappeared on my pogo however on my friends phone and account it is now in the right location , why has this happened ? Can send pictures to show what I mean
what is the location that you told them to edit it to?
If your friend is seeing it, you should, too. Sync for the day happens around now, maybe try checking again yourself?
He’s seen it all day is the only thing and I havnt , so not sure why it’s not on mine , I sent them geotagged photos of the actual spot it’s meant to be in but I still can’t see it
I was asking for the coordinates so that I can check the map and see where it ended up. Sometimes they don’t put it where you ask them to if they aren’t convinced that is correct.
Ah I see , but they have put it where it is meant to be now and he can see where it is and it’s correct
All I can tell you then is to restart your app. If that doesn’t work, restart your phone and then your app.
You are looking in Pokemon Go, right? Not Campfire?
Yeah I am currently restarted my app fully so will see if it works then and yeah I’m on the Pokémon go app
