Neighborhood signs usually aren’t eligible unless they are particularly artistic

Have any of the mentioned amenities been built already?

Many believe that neighborhood signs do not meet any of the Wayfarer criteria. Can you elaborate how this is a great place to:

  • be social
  • exercise
  • explore

Keep in mind that you must be able to answer that without referring to any Niantic game. For example, saying that having a Pokestop here will encourage exploration does not mean this meets the explore criterion. A place needs to be somewhere you would go for socializing, exercising, or exploring without any mobile game influence. And for Exercise, it must be something you actually use to exercise, not just something you walk by while you’re exercising.

Welcome to the forum!

Your supporting information should tell the reviewers why this meets one or more of the 3 criteria catagories. Why the nomination (the sign) is a good place to explore, exercise and/or socialize.

Welcome to the community. Based on the co-ordinates provided, I couldn’t see the place on Google Maps. It may be a recent development, but without doing more digging, it’s hard to tell. Residential signs are a hard sell unless it meets certain criteria.

Without knowing the area well enough, I can only guess if the following are eligible:

  1. 156 Ice House.
  2. The Parker House Haunted Attraction.
  3. Denton Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (Most likely to be eligible if not in game already)
  4. Matha’s Taco House Mexican Restaurant.

These are just a few I seen on Google Maps, so may be worth checking to see if they are in game. They may not be close as you may like, but you can use these as a basis to start submitting. Also look for public Playgrounds and Parks and see if they can submitted, if not already done so.

Those are great suggestions, I actually think the Parker house could have several eligible things

Not yet, still in the process, good walking spot though, i saw ppl there walking to and back to the sign

Great for walking saw a few people walking there yesterday its a small 6 block neighborhood currently

The fact that people walk by the sign does not make the sign a great place for exercise. What is it about the sign that encourages them to walk here?

There must be something about the point of interest that is eligible in itself, as was already explained:

To add on to what Cyndie was saying, if this sign crumbled to the ground and was never rebuilt, people would probably still walk by this spot. The sign has no influence on why or where they walk, therefore it does not meet the exercise criterion.

Conversely, if you removed a basketball court, people would no longer gather in that spot to play basketball (which is a form of exercise).
