Nomination Rejection, how to improve

I got rejected and want to know:
A) Is this a good site for a potential pokestop.
B) How might I improve it.

Some of the rejection criteria was it was on private property, which it wasn’t and it was not unique enough.

Do you think it’s a great place to socialize? Exercise? Would anyone go out specifically to see this sign (explore)?

Not COULD it become a place to socialize, exercise, or explore - was it CREATED for that purpose?

It looks to me like that sign is something created for advertising. I don’t see how that it’s interesting at all.

I know you are following the example of there already being a bunch of these but they really shouldn’t be allowed, they’re not interesting and nobody would stop here for a purpose. It’s background on the way home. Niantic allowing strip mall signs are an incredible downgrading of standards though so I believe if you constantly resubmit this you have a 20% chance it will be approved each time.

I see your point, It is “advertising” the neighborhood which I think helps liven it up, if the neighborhood looks like people care more likely it is you will be more encouraged to walk/explore in your neighborhood. I think it adds to the community/area in that way, but I understand that is not a criteria Niantic/Wayfarer highlight as what a POI should be.

Correct, I stopped to create the nomination LOL. Also it is not a strip mall this is a place name sign of the neighborhood, which is called Westpark. To me it is a neighborhood pride place, and as I mentioned above helps improve the area by creating the image that residents and business owners care and making it an area you are more willing to walk/explore. On its own its not interesting but I think as a resident I found it unique in that it livens brings more life to the neighborhood.

But I understand on its own it may not meet POI criteria that Niantic/Wayfarer has created.

I appreciate that you’re still trying to sell it but this isn’t wayfarer and we’re all smart enough to know these are boring. They exist solely to get people to buy the houses in a development, they are literally the least a developer wanted to do. Some have playgrounds, ritzy ones have a pool or community centers. Even trailer parks or projects can have these and they are points without interest
