Hi, I have a question about the energy points. How far apart should each point be? We had one that appeared every two weeks, but another appeared in a different cell, and they’re more than 30 meters apart. However, the one that appeared every two weeks hasn’t reappeared. Its last appearance was on July 30th.
This is a bad time to be talking about Power Spots. Their activity is atypical this week.
I just wanted to know if there’s some kind of distance restriction or something like that, because there’s no reason why it hasn’t reappeared. Both power spots are in different cells and quite far apart, and the reference point wasn’t removed. That’s why I’m wondering.
I don’t have any more information than this:
One person reporting to the Wayfarer Discussion Discord is currently seeing 5 active Power Spots in an L14 S2 cell.
Do you mean that you still see it as a “Wayspot used in other Niantic games” on the nomination map screen by this? Is there a new Pokestop or gym that would be within the 22m circle?
That’s right, the point is still there, it hasn’t been deleted nor have any more points been added in that same cell, and as I mentioned it only appeared twice and didn’t appear again, then another node appeared in another cell and more than 30 meters away and the previous one didn’t appear again
Oh, I suppose there is also the possiblity that - same as Pokestops and gyms - that the property owner filed a request with Niantic to remove the Powerspot. Maybe staff could enlighten you if this has happened if you leave them the name of the Powerspot and the general location if you don’t have exact coordinates.
do you have the gps coordinates for it? or can you grab nearby from Google Maps. maybe staff can see if there was a property owner request
Hehehe, as I mentioned, the area is public access; it’s not owned by anyone. There are fitness equipment installed there by the government, but it’s fine. I appreciate your responses. Perhaps it will appear again soon.
The government would be the property owner then. Or other owners nearby affected by a nuisance there. I am surprised any power spots have not been removed after some of the Gigantamax crowds.
I hope your spot returns.
May be other countries are different but wouldn’t there be a department that maintained these sort of areas. That department would have the authority to request a removal.
That land could easily belong to the buildings to the north.
Also, the Wayfarer team has nothing to do with Powerspots. It’s part of the PokemonGo teams. Contact them.
From my understanding, Powerspots have always been flakey - not on an exact schedule. Maybe the person who pushes the button to make them shift… was on vacation.
Are you sure about this? We can suggest edits and removals through Wayfarer. I admit that I do not know if the property owner request works for these, and was hoping to find out.
Oh - I knew you could suggest Powerspot edits and removals through the PokemonGo app… But I didn’t know those were routed through the Wayfarer system (and synched daily) - I thought the PokemonGo team reviewed them (and synched them with random timing).
