A Pokestop came up yesterday but in the span of a couple hours a Powerspot at the same location vanished. What happened?
I have seen a bunch of times how Pokestops and Powerspots can share the same space. I used to regularly go to a park that did this. Ever a golf course near by does the same thing of two matters at the same location.
The most common thing is It got reported for removal either because its ineligible or request by property owner
You could check submission page to check if its still there or no
I have high doubts the property manager removed it. He’s busy taking care of construction happened near by the vanished spot.
No Pokemon Go players weren’t preventing the construction activity.
Remember this happened within a couple hours of the Pokestop’s existence.
Power spots have their own proximity rules. They need to be at least 22 metres from existing Pokéstops and Gyms to be able to appear. So I’m guessing that when the new Pokéstop appeared, it meant that the Power Spot no longer met the proximity requirements and got hidden. If you go to the location and begin the process of creating a new wayspot, can you still see the old Power Spot on the map as an orange icon?
How do I submit a Powerspot?
You don’t exactly. You use the submit a new wayspot (Pokéstop) button and the map will show you all wayspots and power spot imports (including those that aren’t visible in game) within around 100 metres of your current physical location, which is why you need to be at the location to check it
