Something I’ve become a bit irritated by whenever I go out exploring is coming across areas which have no pokestops and all the S2 cells are open for a pokestop, I go to nominate things, only to find that I can’t actually nominate them without being marked as a duplicate because it was already in one of the other games as a Wayspot. There’s this one particular town where I could have made a good number more pokestops than I actually did if it weren’t for these what I’ll dub “phantom pokestops”, and it especially hurts when there’s nothing else in a particular cell that would be eligible.
At some point, could nominations for particular games not be considered duplicates if the wayspot isn’t something you can interact with in the game it was nominated from? I’m thinking maybe in the reviewing interface it could show which game a particular nomination comes from, as well as showing the games which other wayspots in the immediate area are in on the map, and if there’s an identical wayspot but it was never added to the game which the nomination being reviewed is from it shouldn’t be marked as a duplicate. That way, if there’s nothing there in one of the Wayfarer-related games but all the eligible potential wayspots are in other Wayfarer-related games already, you can still expand the play area for the particular game you’re making the nomination in.
