I don't know which Wayspot is the duplicate destination

Hello.

I submitted the following application, but it was rejected due to duplication:
ANA Blue Base 35.55417 139.748592

I checked the surrounding area on WayfarerMap and could not find any duplication, so I appealed to Niantic, which was approved.

However, it still hasn’t appeared on WayfarerMap after about 5 days.

I contacted WayfarerSupport, and they informed me that it was indeed a duplication and that they had moved it correctly.

However, I still checked each surrounding Wayspot one by one, but I cannot find any duplication.

While the lack of appearance in Pokémon GO might be due to the specifications of the S2 cell, are there Wayspots that don’t appear on WayfarerMap?

I would like to check the Wayspot of the duplicate. Please share your knowledge.

Thank you for reading this far.

Based on what I have found, and without seeing your nomination, there could be a valid reason as to why it’s seen as a duplicate.

Thank you. I appreciate your response. Indeed, the duplicates are visible in the image you provided. It’s very strange that they aren’t showing up in WayfarerMAP.

By the way, how did you verify the image you provided?

You may need to zoom in to see the existing nomination. I also have a few browser extensions installed from a site I am not sure if I am able to mention that allows me to see more details and overlays.

How long has this been on the map? It looks like it is in an empty L17 S2 cell, so should be eligible to become a Pokestop at the next sync, unless there are restrictions at this location by a property owner/manager.

We are not allowed to share a link to third party tools on the forum, but you can google search for wayfarer tools. If you have found the right site, there will also be an invite to join the Wayfarer Discussion Discord, where we can talk about these tools.

I tried zooming in with WayfarerMAP and checking on a different device, but the result was the same.

Thank you for your response regarding the extension.

My application was approved on March 17, 2026. However, I cannot confirm if there was a duplicate (an earlier created Wayspot).

“Wayfarer Tools,” right? Thank you for the information.

The existing wayspot for “ANA Blue base” is in an otherwise-empty cell and is not active and not marked as a community or imported submission. This suggests its blocked by Niantic due to owner request? Either that or it has only just been added to the map.

I see. So Niantic can block content at the owner’s request. My post is here, so the image you provided appears to be of an existing wayspot.

Definitely and this is absolutely the right thing for them to do. This is not guaranteed to be the explanation here, but it fits the inactive status.

Thanks to you, the situation has been clarified and I now understand it.

I wouldn’t have known without everyone’s cooperation. I’m extremely grateful.
It’s unfortunate that the Wayspot wasn’t created, but it was a unique experience.
I’ll consider this matter resolved.
Thank you again.
