I got this nomination to review. I have rejected on accuracy as the photo and supporting photo show exact same building but with different art . I mean totally different. Right or wrong or another rejection route?
There is no requirement that the photos both be taken at the same time. I see both murals in the Google photos for the Butler. I don’t know if I would have accepted since I don’t see the nomination, but I would not have rejected for that
However I would reject for third party photos which i am having trouble linking
here is one: This Dainty Restaurant In Potts Point Comes With Its Own Floral Mural
and i give up on linking this
i guess technically you could use a third party photo in the supporting, but it does not make me believe they took the original main photo.
right ho. I get you. Nice work. Good digging @cyndiepooh
The supporting information is lacking as well. It is not a cafe but rather an upscale seafood restaurant. Currently Mexican leaning. The Butler Potts Point - Sydney Restaurant & Bar
The chances of anyone going there on their way to the Botanical Gardens is good fantasy. And not where I would just drop in with the family Though it does look delicious
Found a photo on Google Maps uploaded recently showing the art from the supporting photo.
The supporting photo is also from their social media, as I found it on Facebook
I dug deeper into their photos on Facebook, and found the main.
Yeah. Looks like they took both the photos from Google.
I did not do an image search. Next time. I could have then hit them on 3rd party images.
Thanking you !
So you were spot on in thinking something was off with the photos. Good example for everyone to do some digging when something doesn’t look right.
