I do also think your appeals/ nominations would benefit from being more focussed.
It is tricky to get a good balance between putting your case fully and making sure that the key points don’t become hidden.
So for example in your appeal there were 2 rejection reasons that need to be addressed
The proposal lacks uniqueness or cultural and historical significance
The proposal is probably not permanent or distinct
This means talking about safe pedestrian access is not needed
The 2 rejection reasons combine as it is not likely to be about permanence. So the unique and distinct are essentially talking about the same thing.
So the focus should be on why it’s distinctive, and then backing up the cultural importance with the links to show its popular.
Keeping things succinct and focussed avoids confusing the reader. Bringing in not needed points also gives the impression of having to oversell. So instead of helping your case it starts to hinder it.
So you have made a reasonable case but it’s not actually easy to see it.
I also agree with Eli, you can write less and still get the same point across. You didnt do anything wrong, but sometimes a more focussed message is easier to read and understand. My appeals are usually about as long as this message, or less.
I didn’t know the appeals weren’t final. I posted this to see if I’d done something wrong, especially since many people on the forum thought this place was a good waypoint
And I’m sorry for being so profligate, but I usually ask the AI to mention all the criteria that were met, just for fear of not posting everything.
Usually writing in your own words is more succinct and meaningful - or using the AI to help get you started with the points you want, but turning it into your own words and discarding any bits you dont neef can be more effective
I am starting to realise that when ever I struggle to read a long post, they tend to be written by AI (people mention it usually). I think my brain just doesnt engage with it as well as things written by people for some reason!

There is nothing wrong with getting some AI help. It can be very daunting about trying to write something to “defend” your nomination - so it is not surprising it produces something quite legal.
However it is a tool. So once you have the initial output that’s the point that you should start to edit. Since you know it produces a lot of text aim to cut at least in half. And read it through with the focus on what you need to say rather than what could you say.
Make sure the end piece is focussed and contains the points that you need to make.
There is a lot of learning in this topic about the cafe and making a good nomination I hope you can take that all on board and get success.
There is no formal way to appeal an appeal decision. So you are correct that appeal decisions are meant to be final. However, Niantic asked us to let them know when they got it wrong in an AMA, and from time to time, when someone posts here, the decision will be reversed.
