Updated for those that need clarification

From these angles you can see that it either was painted over (decades ago) or never existed there. Here is the evidence that this isn’t a current valid wayspot.

1. No longer exists
How? Via the small alley / door entrance from the main st. in which you can see straight into the wall in question. I’ve walked here and you can’t see anything resembling that wayspot, just a blank wall.

falls under Niantic Wayfarer Must be a permanent physical, tangible, and identifiable place or object, or object that placemarks an area

2. This location is literally inside the homes of people as you can see from satellite view & street view… so it also falls under Private Residences, Farmland & K-12 - Criteria Clarification Collection - Niantic Wayfarer Community

this is east LA split homes / apartments are the norm just zoom out, and you see 2-3 houses in one plot of land they say apartments, but it isn’t a complex if that’s the case I can submit dozens of wayspots as there is dozens of places with graffiti inside or religious statues, etc.. in east la home/apartments. basically falls under private residential.

this is a local custom might be different in another part of the world but this is a local nono i.e. a private residential area. even if multiple apartments reside in one plot. Pretty much if it isn’t stacked apts. its considered private. Update: can’t believe i need to highlight this.

Update: i highlighted the alley incase someone needs directions… this is the only wall as mentioned in tge description or by just looking at the wayspot image

Picture:

as you can see from the picture I took nothing resembles that and that is the only possible wall

The wayspot image is a small wall about 1 story tall with no doors or windows, with 2 rusted metal objects, 1 light & electrical wire hanging straight above it… nothing… resembles this anywhere from any other angle.

(zoom in on google street view onto the center to see evidence.)
from this angle you can see that there never was or could be anything related to the wayspot image submitted

Wayspot Title: Wall art / Ganster Sharksters (I’ve seen the latter in game)

  • Location (lat/lon): 34.024957, -118.193072
  • City: 3684 Percy Street, Los Angeles, CA 90023
  • Country: USA

This one falls under Unique Art - Criteria Clarification Collection - Niantic Wayfarer Community

The street art pictured above may have initially been a good example, but due to the overwhelming number of names and different styles added to this piece, there is evidence to suggest it is not an intentional work of art and is therefore not eligible.

They removed the bottom 2 but not the one with detailed evidence

You need more proof. Personally i am not convinced Since there are no street view, its not helping. Anyway wayspot in multi family private property is allowed. So you argument fail on that matter. Wayspot is allowed in gated community and since you cant enter to get more evidence, i suggest you to move on (dont trespass )

Please dont report wayspot just because you cant access it. Other people in that area can access it

Literally added screenshots of street view and a photo from when i walked there…[mod edit] can you see?

Again local custom is different from your local customs and shows you skimmed it… literally has this bit in there too  otherwise i can submit random graffiti / religious statues since your perception of gated community falls under small 2 apts. Which is like 90% lol Im sorry but what? READ the info beforehand

And you failed to noticed it falls under 2 things.. not there and private…

So pictures from streetview zoomed in to the wall in question a picture i took of said wall that shows its has no art there.. and you go need evidence…

Lol im sorry but lol

I just skimmed it and here is my 2 cents… this is the reason we need to report bad wayspots.

MID EDIT replaced inappropriate phrasing

Well you are free to report it again, but if it kept on failing, perhaps consider the problem is not on other people.

You kept on saying that its split homes/apartments. Wayspot is allowed in this area.

You said its not there but i am not convinced because your photo is really different from wayspot foto. Your photo can be taken from elsewhere. If you want it to be more convincing, i suggest you to take gps tagged photo which will show coordinate where you took photo

Random grafitti is ineligible. I suggest you to reread wayfarer criteria

MOD EDIT temporary measure to remove inappropriate content

MOD EDIT temporary measure to remove inappropriate content

So google maps is not a thing? Literally the photo i took matches Google maps..

MOD EDIT: removed inappropriate phrase.

Hello @NoPerfectSense

Please remain respectful in your posts.
An experienced wayfinder is trying to help you.

All i did was re- provide evidence that was already there.. for someone that skimmed it but yeah i do see my error for that im sorry for being sarcastic and realizing that him not seeing what im seeing is not a reason for sarcasm.

Edit: i didn’t swear but it looks like i did lol ill take it

This is public forum. So everyone are allowed to give their advise. You are free to take the advise or no.

I get that part but lets leave it to the mods that hopefully will read it.

Thank you

Good luck with that then.

Thanks for the appeal, @NoPerfectSense! We gave this a second look and decided to retire 2 Wayspots in question. However, due to insufficient evidence, we’re unable to remove the Wayspot “In Memory Of …” in question. If you have additional evidence to share, like geotagged images or photosphere, please submit a new appeal with additional information, and we’ll take another look.
