This rejected nomination is an indoor green space / garden that is located inside a major shopping centre. There is no supporting signboard or name for this garden.
Any suggestions on how to strengthen this nomination if I was to submit an appeal?
Alternatively, do you feel that this nomination is just trying to turn a “lump of coal” into a wayspot?
I would appreciate your guidance either way.
Thank you
From the photos shown, this feels to me like it is just decoration for the shopping center - pretty, but I don’t see this a a great place for exercise, exploration, or being social.
Can you demonstrate that this does meet any criteria? Is the “arboretum” educational in any way? Is there seating that would make this a gathering spot?

On reflection, I would have to agree with you.
Sometimes it is hard to be objective about your own nominations.
Thanks for your feedback

The other feedback I will give you is that your second photo is not helpful. The second photo should show the thing you are nominating and a significant space around it. You are trying to help the reviewer understand both where this thing is located and the context of the thing.
In this example, your second photo was a repeat of a close up of the plants. We can’t tell what the space around it looks like, nor have any clue how to locate it inside the building.
I think you mentioned that this is inside a shopping center. Near me, most malls have maps online showing the layout of stores. So I would photograph the thing I’m nominating with an identifiable place in the background - something that would show up on a mall map (a large anchor store, stairs, elevator, food court, etc.). Then in the supplemental information, I would explain that. Or I have also taken a photo to show a large skylight in the roof/ceiling. That skylight can be seen on satellite and I explain to the reviewer how to match up the exterior satellite photo with the photo I’ve taken indoors.
