Hi Explorers!
We’ve heard your requests for a confirmed date, and we’re glad to finally be able to share one. This is your heads-up that the final Ingress data sync is scheduled for May 23rd at 11am PDT. We know this is short notice, and we’re truly sorry for the last minute update. As we’ve shared in the past, it would be difficult to share an exact date let alone several days in advance given all the moving parts that come with this type of shift.
Here are some things you can expect:
- Ingress will receive all resolved contributions up to the timeframe shared above
- The map sync with Ingress will take some time, and updates will be reflected in the Ingress Scanner next week
- The Pokémon GO map will not be impacted and should continue its map sync as expected
- After this last sync, Ingress will begin using its own map and Pokémon GO, Monster Hunter Now, and Pikmin Bloom will continue to draw from Wayfarer.
