Hmm. First review - title and description in lower case (I accepted anyway, just). Second review - supporting information “Thanks” (skipped). Third review - two identical pictures, supporting information “Many thanks” (location fully streetviewed and it doesn’t exist; rejected as abuse).
There is a perception amongst Ingress players that the quality of submissions went down when Pokemon Go players joined in and again when level requirements were lowered. Quality of both the objects but also the submissions themselves.
Not having the option to earn upgrades and use them is a shame, then. Not very helpful in areas where Ingress isn’t played as much as PoGo, which is my area.
I may be one of the few Ingress players that have been submitted edits on a regular basis, as I really don’t see any other approved edits than mine.
Oopsie, someone didn’t realise you couldn’t edit it once submitted. If you’ve done any like this I would suggest getting in there and either placing them on hold or editing them NOW..
Oh that’s an embuggerance. TBH, I’m not bothered about descriptions and it’s super easy to edit a remote portal if you have the key, but the title does at least need to be right IMO.
I’m glad I took the sensible decision not to submit until I can access a contribution management page.
I cant see that I will review as all my years of reviewing have been thrown in the bin. So I think a few submission is what I will be able to contribute.
I’ve only submitted a few, and all were ones approved by Wayfarer, so the photos and text all came from those approved Wayspots. Photos are still on my phone, and the text is easily accessible via Wayfarer Contribution Management. Many of my edits also have come from Wayfarer.
That may be a big issue for you, but it is not a big issue for Ingress and Recon.
And if you are also an Ingress agent, all you have to do is reach level 16.
It won’t take any longer than PoGo’s TL80 because there are more medals now and the standards are less strict.
I’ve been L8 since March of this year, so it’s not that simple to reach L16, especially if you aren’t an overly active player like I am. They have said that they are opening reviewing to L16/Recursed agents first, and will look at lowering the level requirement in the future.
If you saw my previous comment, I noted that I have only submitted things I have gotten approved via Wayfarer, and most have been edits. I’ve submitted a few nominations, and I not worried about not being able to see them right now and not be able to edit them, as I took the text straight from my Wayfarer Contribution Management, and I have all of the photos on my phone still. Once I feel more comfortable submitting these, I might do so before I can access the Recon site.
Everyone is going to look differently at this, and I choose to look positively, as I will be able to access Recon someday, and I also can be patient about it.
