Countless trail markers have once again been removed without any explanation

I just booted up Pokemon Go on my couch and I immediately saw that a massive chunk of Pokestops in my immediate area has been removed, all of them hiking trail marker stickers. I can’t believe we’re doing this again. The two I mentioned in this topic were removed AGAIN, along with a good dozen or so others that I could see and lord knows how many others that I can’t see from my couch.
