Is this worth an appeal?

Ask you asked so nicely, I’ll do it at 90 degrees. :joy:

Oh dont, someone sent me a postcard today specifically because they noticed it was the wrong orientation because they thought it was going to make me cringe

Mental note Wrong orientation makes @frealafgb cringe… Gives me a sense of purpose. :grimacing:

This is one where a good supporting photo will really help, there should be much more of the surrounding area so that it can be matched with the available StreetView and satellite views. You might want to consider circling or highlighting the POI in the supporting photo if you are taking it from some distance out - i.e. take the picture with your smartphone camera, add a highlight with whatever tools you have and then submit the existing picture as the supporting photo.

This is what is written on the noticeboard itself…

The Image itself (assuming it loads here).

Exactly. Shows me without any doubt that it belongs on the church!

The fact is, it was rejected for “Mismatched Location” as in it can’t possibly exist in the area. GPS is fairly solid in the area, so didn’t have any issues with the accuracy (which does sometimes happen in low signal areas). The Brickwork belongs to the church building. I need to think about how to approach the nomination if I resubmit, but am still unsure if an appeal should be used in this case.

What Im saying is that text proves it is at that location, and the reviewers were wrong.

They decided to vote that it 100% cant be at the location, despite it having the name of the location carved into it!

You can now read the text better.
I would say in the text to zoom in and read the text as part of the proof it belongs at the church.

Well if not because you point that out, i wont recognize the church name

I’m trying to understand where the creepy haunted house comes in play. Cause man that doesn’t look safe!!

I assume this is a snapshot from the Street View, I would hope That most folks who do review these do a satellite view to figure things out. I can definitely tell by some of these rejects that somebody was just happily clicking no no nope
I wish you better luck on your others. Seems like it’s hit or miss out there.

I don’t think I would appeal. I think I would resubmit it with some of these better photos that you’ve taken of the blown up board. I’ve only appealed one thing and I couldn’t seem to figure out how I could change photos. Maybe it’s me though.

It turns out it was the other noticeboard with a similar name that got accepted. :man_facepalming:

Not the best description or supporting information, but I could edit this via Ingress.
