More PokéStops and Gyms Coming to India and Indonesia - Discussion

I have a very small shopping centre, but many business areas are around it. There are around 100+ imports over there from businesses that don’t exist anymore. Half of all the imports are being used right now and cycled. New ones adding every sync. Im not even gonna begin doing something about it. They were set their by Niantic/Scopely, not my job to clean all the ones up that don’t meet criteria.

The powerspot sync just happened. Nothing new for me😅.

But im more corious for the people in India and Indonesia.

Was coming here to say that a powerspot sync has been reported. Hoping folks in this area will let us know if they got some back :crossed_fingers:

Ok I just checked near me. 4 am here lol. Majority of the powerspots have returned.

Edit 1: So seems like some of the wayspots which i had nominated earlier but never showed up as anything are showing up now as powerspots. This is good as these are approved wayspot.

I woke up early and was just checking. My game crashed suddenly. When I restarted powerspots were there.

It’s an interesting thing how they handle these syncs, was in my friendslist when it happened, suddenly got kicked out. Knew it was time then😁.

Glad to hear you have most of the powerspots back.

Hopefully we will hear more folks reporting their changes when it is a more appropiate time😉.

We don’t want anymore pokestops this way again. We will nominate wayspots ourselves. Thank you

That’s really good some previously unused wayspots are being used.

A post was merged into an existing topic: Accepted Wayspot Removed from the game map after requesting Location correction

From what I’ve seen of the Niantic Campfire, it looks like there’s a resurgence in the big cities.
But in the “remote and rural” areas that the PoGo and Wayfarer teams thought they’d target this time, there seem to be more cities with fewer power spots than in other countries and regions.

It’s not clear how “remote and rural” they meant.
If they had meant for the city to be Jakarta’s size, it would be a success.
But if they were aiming for a city with fewer than a few tens of thousands of people, then this update doesn’t quite measure up.

Yeah some unused powerspot now appear as powerspot

They have changed the announcement and adding urban and suburban but removing remote area.

Well no resurgence here lol.

So after week of prayers and assurances I guess that might it for me.

At least new players will have endless Pokestops lol.

Here’s my area

Yup as someone said “Being a rural players $#cks” And Them pulling out “remote and rural areas” last day before sync happened way to go :expressionless_face:

Two of them showed up, but are further than the last ones and are invalid because 1st one is a ATM and second one is a service center.

One of them is on the most busy road in my area and second one (service center) is also a busy road.

Alright. I live in Jakarta, not a rural city. But look at what I have here. Btw, all except one of these are old power spots, and one of the old power spots disappeared, so I guess its safe to say no power spots added.

That caterpie is in front of someone’s house. The road in front of it (in fact, TWO parallel roads in front of it) are so thin, two grown people walking shoulder to shoulder will barely fit.

That machop is literally under a highway toll road overpass.

That falinks is the only proper powerspot within 1 km radius (yes i know the ss says 600 metres, but its a straight line distance! I cannot fly). Its on a church.

The first pidove is in a major, busy road, on a street food stall, which means, on a max monday, that road will be jam packed with cars and motorbikes. Not safe at all.

The second pidove is on the same street as the caterpie above. In front of someone else’s house. Thin road, same deal.

The third is interesting. Because its on a cemetery.

There. All 600 metres-ish and further. Which is why I said max monday gatherings now feel like a marathon. A spooky one because we need to go to a cemetary. By the end everybody would have ran 6-8 kilos. Not fun.

And to those saying “thats why you submit a pokestop even though its on the same cell yadda yadda”. We did, they all turned to pokestops. Isn’t that the problem in the first place..??
