I submitted a photo I like for a waypoint via Ingress, like I normally do (I enjoy photo updates). This time, the photo I uploaded got rotated 90° sideways.
Odd.
I tried cancelling my submission and doing it again. Still sideways.
I submitted the sideways looking photo anyway, thinking that it might be a visual glitch? I figured I could withdraw my submission from wayfarer if it appeared sideways in wayfarer too.
The AI accepted my photo right away!

I don’t want it to appear in game like this. What have I done?
I faintly remember that iPhones had some problems a while ago. But that’s in the distant past.
@Nianticaaron could you or another staff member take a look at this situation? This one is weird.
I have fixed the orientation. The image should appear upright now.
I wonder if it was caused due to the way your device stored this photo. Could you please confirm if this is happening with all images or only this one?

There was a problem on iPhone ( I think it was iPhone) as I had this issue.
If you started a submission, went to select a photo, realised there was an issue, stopped the submission process, went to the photo to edit it eg crop out a person, return to the submission and select the photo it would be rotated through 90 degrees.
It hasn’t happened to me for some time.
I know. That doesn’t happen anymore. This is why I requested specifics.

It only happened with that image. I am using an iPhone. I uploaded 15 more today without issue. Thanks for fixing it!
