Unfortunately, the new map seems to make submitting wayspots just as buggy as in PoGo. I had to re-do three nominations from this weekend because geolocation was WAY off. You really need to wait for the map to load to make sure you are in the right place (and in my experience that takes a LONG time). Also, you can’t zoom out on the map as much as you could before which makes submitting wayspots at a distance more complex (e.g. the ones I’m resubmitting because the geolocation was wrong).
Yep moving about the map to the location to submit when you have a 25km limit is now not a pleasant experience.
4square imports aren’t the only things for PokemonGo only - also Courts of the World, and some sponsored PokeStops. So an American Ingress agent might submit a basketball court that has no portal, and is more than 20 meters away from any portal - and it would be marked duplicate, because it’s on the Wayfarer map, from Courts of the World.
I finally checked by opening nominations near my house, which is deep into single family residences, with nothing but single family residences. Sure enough - it shows wayspots on neighbors’ houses, which is the business address for whatever thing they do. But in Ingress, there is no way to report them as private homes.
I can’t help but wonder if this coding addition to Ingress… is because of the Wayfarer buyout. For example: if the database will be duplicated or split somehow.
