Need help with a nomination i made that got rejected

We dont have to rely on them. That is the point, present alternative proof.

Our city also puts parks adjacent to schools. I can find links on the town website to show what area belongs to the park. Try to figure out who maintains the park, and see if you can find evidence that way that the playground is on park property.

How do you dont rely on them. Right now you guy are relying on a map that says the playground is in the school property when i keep saying an showed a video on the fence dividing the school and the park.

This are some schools streeview from where im living right now and my hometown and they all have one thing in common, the fence outlining the property.

There is no such thing as that here. This is the only thing you can find on the city site. Which is whole lot of nothing.

I’ve found the following online tipps:

Official Property Records:

  1. Visit the Puerto Rico Property Registry (Registro de la Propiedad): This is the primary source for official property boundaries and ownership records.
  2. Search Online: The registry’s official website provides online access to property information.
  3. Visit a Local Office: You can visit a local property registry office in the municipality where the property is located for assistance.

And there’s a platform but Idk how it may work because you need to register yourselve somehow:

ArcGIS Online:
This platform hosts layers with administrative boundaries, such as neighborhood boundaries and subbarrios, which may be helpful for general geographic understanding.

Local government GIS systems like ArcGIS are good and usually definitive. If you can’t provide a deeplink a screenshot would be good.

From the evidence provided I am pretty convinced that the play area is outside the school, but the boundary of the school is marked wrongly. However, I suspect that maps will be more persuasive than videos.

You guys are surely not here and think that government offices work like they do in the US. Like i said before im not gonna jump through hoops for something that will only appear in game and I’ve clearly shown that is not in school property while there are other submisions inside actual scholl properties like this one that was 3 approved submissions and this new one they submitted which is clearly a school private one at that.

This isnt an excuse or justification for anything, this can easily be reported for removal.

This is not an excuse, im stating that those are inside a school while my submissions is not, yet you people that dont even know how school boundaries work in Puerto Rico and cant understand that every single school in puerto rico is fenced to mark the border of the school property and everything outside that boundary is not part of the school. Yet keep insisting it is and asking me to get maps and jump through governmental hoop to proof what has already been prooven.

Last time I checked, Puerto Rico is a part of the US, one of the territories I believe.

We have given you plenty of info to work with in this situation, and it’s up to you whether you decide to take our advice or not. However, without fully knowing the boundary lines, I don’t think staff will reverse the appeal, nor is it likely that another submission will be approved without boundary line proof.

You don’t get that even though puerto rico is “part” of the US the goverment dont work the same way, schools dont work the same way. lets use logic.

Do you think a school would let their students walk all the way there just to play in that single playground? Because i dont know if it was part of the school the would have s gate there for better, faster and ssfer access.

Many schools do, in different parts of the world. Wayfarer is global, and doesn’t have specific criteria and guidelines for any one part of the world.

It may be best to take a step back from this and consider all the advice provided, instead of trying to find a workaround that, in all likelihood, may not work. We have provided plenty of info on how to get info on boundaries, so you may want to consider them.

I will be muting this thread after this post, as I’ve provided all I can to assist.

Ok new idea!
What do you think about submitting something else in that park?
Maybe those picnic tables?:

Clearly not on school ground without the need of property boundary research

Hello @gwenome65

Your frustration at this situation is very clear and understandable. :people_hugging:

This sort of situation that you find yourself in where the custom and practice is that this is a playground open to all but the official map of the land puts it in a different status.

Do have a look at what @AliceWonder1511 is suggesting

Local government GIS systems (in my experience) are free for anyone to use. You just have to find them. Knowing how to use them can be a great tool for Wayfaring.

I found the CRIM map (Centro de Recaudación de Ingresos Municipales) which is the Municipal Revenue Collection Center in english. Lets hope that link works cause the map doesn’t have a sharing option.

The link doesnt work for me.

Since its been several days without staff reply, i suggest you to resubmit. Put everything you can find in supporting information. Everyone here is just explaining why it might got rejected. Arguing with them wont work because they arent the one rejecting your nomination. What you can do is take their perspective and work around it. If the boundry is not correct you need to put that evidence in supporting information for reviewer to see.

Congratulations! This map supports your claim perfectly.
Use all that informations in your supporting informations.
Maybe you can make a collage as your supporting photo and use as one of them this map picture.

Yes, that certainly seems to back up the claim that the play area is outside the school grounds IMO.
