Need help with wayspots

Hi, I’m pretty new to creating wayspots, specifically PokéStops in Pogo. I’ve requested the creation of several wayspots, all of which have been accepted. However, they all seem to be assigned to other Niantic games. The map currently looks like this, with very few PokéStops, and most of the points are assigned to other games. I know there’s something about “Cells S2,” and that there are levels, but I don’t understand them.

My idea was to create more PokéStops so I could play near where I live and not have to travel to a bigger city when an event comes, but if everything I add is assigned to other games, it feels pointless to keep trying. I also checked Ingress and Pikmin, and they don’t appear there either.

I don’t know if anyone can guide with this.
Sorry for my bad English; I’m using a translator.

Hello and welcome to the forum @WP9999,

Nominating can be fun and rewarding but it can take awhile to get used to.

When a wayspot is accepted it means it is saved to a database. Each game applies its own inclusion rules to all the items in the database. So that means if it is not used in Pokemon Go it did not meet the inclusion rules or the property owner requested a geo restriction. No other game can take wayspots from other games.

Others can walk you through cells and inclusion rules for Pokemon Go.

Oh and you can use whatever language you are most comfortable with. The little globe thing underneath will translate each comment for us if it is not our language.

Glad you are here :grinning_cat_with_smiling_eyes: and I hope we can help.

Basically S2 cells are a grid pattern used to overlay the earth: https://pokemongohub.net/post/article/comprehensive-guide-s2-cells-pokemon-go/

You can have one Pokestop / Gym per (small) level 17 cell, Gym numbers are set by how may stops there are in the larger level 14 cell.

https://www.pogomap.info/ is underpopulated with data, but is good at showing the cell boundaries. From the screenshot provided, it looks like there are already stops in those cells. Your submissions may become Powerspots in PoGo or appear in other Niantic games at a later date. They may also appear if for some reason one of the existing Pokestops is removed.

If you are getting these accepted then that’s quite good, it means that you can find potentially valid wayspots and can create a good enough submission to be approved. Unfortunately in some places most of the valid wayspots are clustered together, so you will need to use your skills to go a bit further out to see what you can find.

I wrote this topic about the inclusion process: Why an accepted Wayspot may not be used in Pokemon Go (S2 cells and Pokemon Go)

If it would help you understand, you can leave the gps coordinates of one that didn’t become a Pokestop and I can try to show you the S2 cells there.

Edited to add a screensnip of where you can find the gps coordinates in the submission acknowledgement email if you still have that:

Looks like you have a nice lot of stops in that area and probably some of your submissions are now going to be eligible to become power spots which is fun :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Hopefully the advice about cells is helpful

Thx that would help me a lot, here are two of them
(-34.181747, -70.651890)
(-34.182483, -70.651080)

I’ve been looking in this page but I only see a blue grid

These are those cells for the coordinates, one of the waypoints inside that box should be live in the game as a pokestop or gym, and the others may become powerspots if eligible by their algorithm.
