New revision about my appeal of my wayspot nomination Mural Sí

Title: Mural Sí
Description: Mural que diu Sí.

Here you got the mail of rejection nomination.

Here shows is a big graffiti/mural. It painted by a local artist. Don’t understand why the nomination wayspot is rejected for “The proposal lacks uniqueness or historical and cultural significance.” if the graffiti/mural exist since 2021 or before. In picture you can see I try make the first time wayspot on 2021. A painting/graffiti/mural is culture of the place/town/city, everybody can visit it.

I show the place/map location of nomination. Also is safe way for walking.

Thanks for your attention.

In regards to wayfarer Graffiti & Mural are 2 different things…

Authorised Mural.
The authorities and / or the property owner has given authority to the Mural. Must be official, maybe shown in local news etc.
It is down to the Submitter to show evidence.
Can be accepted.

Graffiti
Unofficial, No authorisation. Classed as vandalism.
Should be rejected.

Graffiti has been accepted in the past but you should never take what’s already on the map as acceptable today. Many graffiti POIs have been removed when when reported to the team.

As the Reviewers do not have an option for “Reject as it’s Graffiti many will use the “Permanent or Distinct” and this is one of the replies this can trigger.

It’s a large mural painted with good proportions and good paint because it’s been there for over five years. It’s not vandalistic at all, and it’s a very large mural, as you can see. It had to be done with a lifting machine to be able to paint it.

You yourself stated it was graffiti / mural. I only stated that these are 2 different things in regards to Wayfarer.

If you did not give any evidence that this was an authorised “Mural” then the reviewers where correct in treating it as “Graffiti” and therefore rejecting.

Remember: It is down to the submitter to show evidence.

Please note that the appeals statement says, “If this assessment is not accurate, please resubmit the nomination with additional context.”

Would you like to show us screenshot of your original nomination for advice on resubmitting it? Who is the “local artist”? What is the significance of the word being in a speech bubble?

I found this on street view, and can see the location is fine.

But I am not sure how this meets the exploration criteria.

I supose the option I have is remake again the nomination of wayspot and putting more info about the mural. I understand it well?. Yes the artist is MC. The significance of word is Yes. Sí is yes in spanish. It haven’t more mistery.

thanks for helping me.

One way I use to judge whether something like this meets criteria for exploration is: would I go there just to see it? Would I take a friend to see it? If there is nothing more to this then I don’t think it does meet criteria.

Should also note that criteria is defined as a “great” place to explore, a “great” place to socialize, or a “great” place to exercise.

What makes a speech bubble with the word Si on it a “great” place to explore?

I’m not sure this meets criteria based on everything you’ve said so far about this nomination.
