Hi all,
I recently had a Wayspot approved and it did not appear in PoGo. I had checked before nomination and ensured no other Wayspots were in the same S2 cell (with two online S2 cell viewers). It’s been 72hrs now, though, and no sign of it in PoGo yet. Could anyone with access to the Ingress Intel map please verify if this Wayspot is in conflict with the fountain one directly to the west of it? Or does anyone else have any guesses as to why it won’t appear in game?
My main guess is that the level 17 cell viewers I have access to online are inaccurate and that I must be in conflict with the western fountain Wayspot. Other guesses of mine have been that my apartment community could have geoblocked the area around the main office at some point in the past, or even that the recent AWS outage is delaying the Wayspot’s import into PoGo.
On a side note, that western fountain Wayspot is also not a Pokestop, but it is in Ingress. Not sure if that invalidates the geoblocking hypothesis since I’d imagine requesting a geoblock from Niantic would apply to all of their games (unless you can request a game specific geoblock). Can’t see any other reasons why it wouldn’t be a Pokestop, too.
The coords of my nomination are 33.29083° N, 111.86252° W.
