In July I nominated an exhibit at the Memento Park museum in Budapest. It is located in a separate building from the main museum, but is still an official exhibit.
It was rejected for location inaccuracy, and so was my appeal - alongside a nice warning for abuse.
Street view clearly shows the building as an official exhibit, plus my nomination is the first exhibit mentioned on the museum website (Sights – Mementopark)
I have attached images of:
The nomination
Streetview just outside the building of which it’s contained
You have not provided the coordinates that you submitted the nomination at. These can be found in the email you received when you submitted the nomination. Given that the location is what has been flagged as the issue, this information would be useful to have.
Your last screenshot here is from the park’s website, if anyone is wondering:
However there is nothing saying that this sculpture is on permanent display. I also found that the actual Stalin’s Boots is in the sculpture park, not in the bunker museum. I can see them at 47.42665593849546, 19.00072679439422 on Google Maps/Street View. There is also a Wayspot here, and it really needs to be updated, as it;s not 1 leg, but a pair of boots.
Are you willing to share your whole nomination, including the description as well as supporrting info/phioto?
Also have to sak if the bust of Lenin as a child has a Wayspot, as that’s the only known one, and it’s listed as being inside of the bunker photo exhibit.
The metal boots you’re referencing are another “memorial” piece, referring back to the original pair (which are not on site). The sculpture I’m nominating is the centre of the exhibit, however there were other information boards around - I wouldn’t be able to recall if there were any other wayspots.
After careful consideration of all the evidence available to us, we have revoked the warning on your account. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
