Thats normal. Pokemon go have their own inclusion rule. As long the wayspot is in their own cells, they might appear close to each other. In addition, sponsored pokestop might add to this condition. Anyway clicking is easier if you rotate and click from the other side. And those gym barely overlap …

I assume you have marked the stops in blue and the gyms in red. In the past, Niantic did not recalculate the S2 cell after a location edit, and a moved Wayspot retained its PoGo status. Hmm… I have seen reports from others that when a gym is involved in an edit the cell may be slow to recalculate. If the current placement is correct though, I still see nothing to report to Niantic. Yeah that was my understanding as well, to prevent abuse when submitting new stops and edits. The changes in my screenshots were definitely done within the past 4 months max.

Those pokestop will be gone after recalculation. As long the location is correct, there is no need to do anything. Some of the wayspot might turn into power spot after recalculation

Interesting! These waypoints moved no more than 4 months ago. Do you know how often the “recalculation” is done? Or when the last one was? Obviously I don’t want to lose POIs in game, but now I’m genuinely just curious about all of this now as it seems like a kind of anomaly haha. I feel like unders…

Anyway you shouldnt move wayspot because its in more convenience place. Just keep those wayspot at correct location. And leave the rest to niantic. Moving wayspot for the sake of s2 cells is considered abuse and can get into warning ladder system. Anyway i dont know how often recalculation done.

Got it! In this case though, the gyms and stops are all in the same cell, the stops in particular are on almost the same exact coordinates.
