POI in empty S17 cell but not in Pogo

Hello and welcome,

How long ago was this accepted? If it was within the last 48 hours, it can take that long for new Wayspots to show up in any Niantic game.

3 recently have not got in. I’m pretty accurate with my cell checking too.

Do you check directly from the Pokemon Go app while nominating? Or do you use Ingress Intel - IITC?

Those methods are both fairly accurate. With some exceptions. You can’t use the Pogo app check from far away. And Ingress an Pogo have different inclusion rules.

What’s the question?

Why the Wayspot isn’t in PoGo.

Ah, in the subject, not the body.

Also, it’s S2 cells, not S17. S2 cells have different levels, with L17 being one used for stops in PoGo, for example.

As far as I can tell, based on the current location in Lightship, it should have been available for PoGO, unless there was some strange actions with removals in the past and/or site specific removals by the property owner.

Niantic staff has jumped in a few times to correct these issues.

Specifically, did you nominate this through Pokémon GO or Ingress?

Hi, I used IITC to check cells. Nothing existing in the cell. L17 cell checked. Can’t see anything that would block inclusion. Existing cells are filled around it. I’ve had 3 not go in recently same issue and it is annoying when trying to build a campfire community route.

This sounds like something that has happened a few times before. This is one recent example:

I know you posted this in Nomination Support, so even though it’s not in Bug Reports & Technical Support, a staff member will take a look to see what the issue may be.

That’s great. I will report the others in the tech support route. Many thanks.

This looks like a really great trail - I love trains :joy:
If it’s appropriate I will move this thread over to Bug Reports & Technical Support.
But first can I check that you have physically been to check, and are not just looking at IITC?
It is too close to the water tower (less than 20m) so will not be selected for ingress and therefore not appear on IITC. The dark circle in the photo represents 20m.

Finally a suggestion about the title. It is not inaccurate but you have included the name of a school, UTC in the title which is confusing and may give the impression it is on school property, which it is not. So I would suggest an edit to replace UTC with GWR and perhaps have Bristol Street at the end to help distinguish the location.

But really I must hop on a train and visit Swindon :sunglasses:

Thanks! Yes come for a visit!
I don’t think I can edit now as stop has been accepted? If I can where do I do that? It’s pogo I want it to appear in so not too bothered about proximity to water tower. I will check in game tomorrow when I am in that part of town. However I have had two other stops submitted and accepted on same trail that are also not appearing in pogo but located in empty L17 cells which is always frustrating. Thought I’d try appealing this one first!

It may be the same issue as it sounds as though you have only looked on IITC.

Do update after you have been there tomorrow.

You can edit any pokestop. When you are there in Pokémon Go click on the disc to get to the photo then there is one of those menus where you can choose to edit. You simply type what the new title would be - nothing else- and submit. It may take sometime to be assessed but at least it will get done. You could do the same for the water tower :grinning:
But maybe wait until the research day is done.:sunglasses:

Could you please check this again? There seems to be some confusion here.

Nevertheless, the Wayspot is now live on the gameboard.

Is there a way to edit if not in pogo? If the stop is accepted but not physically there not sure how to do that?
