I submitted a wayspot and it has been accepted but not turned in to a pokestop even though there is no other pokestop in that same lvl 17 cell.
This is the coordinates 57.075238, -2.784457

Whatever method you are using to view Wayspots in L17 S2 cells is incorrect. Statue of St Margaret is in the same one as St. Margaret’s Catholic Church at 57.075353,-2.784549.

I have put in a request to change The church as that actual pokestop is in another cell. If it is based on the picture on the pokestop. In saying that i had to do in game (pogo) and it was very clear where i was putting it.
Looking at the entrance of this church, the wayspot is actually accurate. Be careful, attempting to move a wayspot to make (another) spot appear might result in a warning or a ban.
If you have a geotagged proof that there is a more accurate location you may succeed. Personally I would not attempt it, as in my view the location is accurate enough.
The sign for a church and the building are considered the same Wayspot.
The current position correctly represents the church in my opinion as well, and I doubt the location edit request will be honored. To reiterate, attempting to move an already correctly located Wayspot for game manipulation can be seen as abuse.
Thank you for helping. I will leave it as is. I was just looking to get more stops and gyms in my area. Will keep hunting for others though
Also, what is the best way for me tell what zones have a pokestop or not when im out and about?
The screenshot shared above is the mapview map from the wayfarer site with a third party overlay to see the S2 cells. We are not allowed to share links to third party tools, but you should be able to find them with an internet search for wayfarer tools.
Whenever S2 cells are mentioned, I try to remember to strongly caution to use this knowledge exactly the way you just said, to know where to look for pokestop eligible points of interest, not for mispinning.
The tennis club and bowling club gave been submitted. The clubs are mainly about the social aspects plus exercise.
The tennis courts (yellow box) and the bowling green (blue box) are where you play and can be submitted separately. This should trigger a new gym.
They should be at edge not in the middle of the play area.
