Pokestop has been in voting for more then 3 weeks

One of my nominations has been “in voting” for more than 3 weeks now and every nomination I’ve made has been decided within 1-3 days

I wish my Nominations only took 3 weeks!

Niantic has regularly used ML “Machine Learning AI” tools to review. These usually only take 1 day. The use of ML has greatly reduced the turnaround time for many nominations, globally.

Recently, ML was seemingly turned off. Because of this, it’s taking longer as the “backlog” queue builds.

It seems the ML accepts have been off since about Nov 27 - see this post

But ML rejections are still happening, so still being in voting is a good thing!

Before ML was born, some of my nominations would either be in the queue for years, or in voting for a similar amount of time. So 3 weeks… take that as a blessing.

Welcome to the community, btw!

If you still have the emails, usually a fast decision and an email from “our team” indicate an ML decision.

Why would I do that I haven’t gotten it back for 3 weeks?

Thanks I will try to look after that now

All you can do is wait. It may be days or weeks. Once it is in community voting, it’s gonna sit there until there are enough reviews and agreements to make a decision. If you live in an area with few reviewers, that could be a long time. If you’ve upgraded it that sends it out to a wider review group, but it could still take a while. The number of reviews is unknown, and Niantic will not share that with us because it could be abused. All we know is that it can take days weeks or months, but more recently over the past year it’s been taking more like days or weeks.

Heya. Im noob myself here. Im guessing the obvious approval suggestions get a lot of «yes» because everyone knows this is a «yes». And people hessitate when its not so obvious, and choose «skip»

This is based on around 20 nomination spots from myself. Trailmarkers is a sure game-go.

More fun places, people get confused and skip or say «nay» just to be sure to not get part of minority vote.

My nominatios are often approved within a couple of days, some are 3-4weeks if its not obvious, and also I pledged apeal for 2 stops, both approved.

Its all about people being scared press yes to a place they are not sure will be a POI.

Voting times are drastically different in different areas, fyi. We have even seen posts of nominations in some parts of the world taking a couple of months WITH an upgrade applied. It is usually more about the number of active reviewers, although the nomination being easy to decide could certainly be a factor in having those active reviewers choose to skip it instead of vote.

I think this myself as noob reviewer. I skip a lot of suggestions I feel are dodgy. I say plain no to artefact waterpump images pinned inside a private home, I say yes to trail signs in middle of a forest.

Its not that important. But try keep it fair.

I understand a lot of people skipping if unsure, and thats the reason some nominations takes a lot of time.
